  1. Remember the 29er you rode was a new bike and you mentioned the Canaan is 4 years old. Although the Canaan was a great bike back then, it is ancient as far as rear suspension is considered. Before jumping on the bandwagon, try a modern 26" DS and feel it out. I have a Spezzie Epic (Alu frame) which is by no means top of the range and it gives a leka firm ride as far as DS goes, but it's still relaxing on the bum. Basically what I'm saying: compare (new) apples with (new) apples

  12. 'To the winner the spoils', 'Dog eat dog', 'Look after number one' capitalism, where the only real winners are the '1%' Ironically, he's neither the winner or number one anymore- yet the sponsors are still supporting him... I think the OP might find himself in a moral predicament I for sure am not gonna punish my knees with second string running shoes because someone I don't know was found guilty for doping. At the end of the day only shoes that won't be sponsoring a doper is PEP, but then again- that cheap labour issue. Don't put to much energy towards it, JUST DO IT!
  13. After the Magalies Monster in 2009 i was introduced to this special recovery shake. I was wasted after all the dust and technical descents and a mate of mine said i should try it and vouched that within 30 minutes i will be feeling like a champ! Took a sip of the concoction and it tasted a bit funny, but he advised me that it takes some getting used to. So waar soos pap snoek- within 20 minutes i was feeling great again and went for another one, the feeling just got better.... So- three years later i am still a fan and will never use anything else. After some market research i found that it is distributed by Brandhouse and you can buy this recovery drink in 4 packs. It retails for about R55 at any respectable supply store, but i do prever it on tap...

  19. Hi guys, Last year I bought a Mongoose Transfer in the spur of the moment thinking that I would magically have enough time to ride my MTB and try my luck at some trials in between all the travelling. Needless to say it's been gathering dust for the past few months- first at the LBS where it was for sale, and now at my house. Thing is, I now live in Kimberley and there's not a massive market for this type of bike. I will however be heading up to JHB for a week now and was thinking I sommer take it to a pawn shop seeing as I just want to get rid of the bike... Does anyone know of an alternative place that buys second hand bikes to sell again? I don't mind dropping my price too much? All help will be appreciated.
  20. At last order is restored! (or is it? ) I sure picked one helluva day to put my bike in the classifieds
