  1. Very clever!
  2. Let's do an quick estimate: Entrants @ Advendurance Teak +- 1000? Between R150-R200 per entrant. (let's be conservative - R150) Waterpoints - SPONSORED (powerade?) Quads - SPONSORED (Nissan) Venues - SPONSORED (Nissan) Marshalls (small change say R20 000) (1000 x R150) - R20 000 = R130 000. Now who needs a bike shop (or three) if you've got 5 nissan and 7 mtn (all advendurance) events...?
  3. Hows about naming the LBS? An honest one is hard enough to find... Good on you!
  4. This is really good news! i remember the condition the place was in under the presvious management (2007). Will be there soon

  11. Mini hi-jack on (sorry ) Where in the Joburg can i get reasonably priced, nice looking cycling tops (short sleeve) MH-J off
  12. Hahahaha! EPIC!
  13. Well, it IS a proper MTB. If you're only gonna do gravel rides you might as well buy a R2k MTB. Good luck bud, keep trying and keep us posted...
  14. If you are not in a rush to buy- keep a eye on the classifieds here on theHub. THere's real good deals every now and then- although I'd advise you to ask someone "knowledgable" on the price vs what you get before you buy "someone else's problems". 14k sounds like a lot, but once you start spending on shoes and pedals (1.5k) and a helmet (1k) and go tubeless and bottles, cages, bar-ends (on a flat bar) and Ezi grips, that 14k can become sub 10k very fast. Anyway, all the best and keep the rubber side down PS someone decided building a relationship with a LBS- in my situation it has worked seeing as the more i spend the cheaper it gets. SOme peeps don't like spending too much at one shop. Whatever float your boat
  15. Must have been a SS/Fixie!
  16. Will give feedback on your advice within a month or so
  17. Hahaha! Random **** this! Only in the Cape
  18. Thanks for the info. I'm just not sure now- at what intervals should i replace a dressing. Someone said 3-5 days, other 3-4 days. How do i know when to remove the dressings altogether? I have tried this method post-op once, but it seemed to take ages, so i went the dry method. I probably should have used less bactroban or something. Cooles!
  19. The mystification process can be explained as follow: 1. I use the hub mostly for buying/selling 2. When I'm at work i open the site and browse, but most of the time i'm too busy to *scan every thread for pics i might post in the future on a thread 3. When i leave work i ride my bikes- thus no time to *
  20. Hahaha, that then was my last post on this thread coz I can do blue speedo- but RED??!! Neva!
  21. Dunno if you saw, but there IS 333 pages on this thread... I try to follow as much as possible- so my bad if I didn't see it. Please then be so kind to ask admin to remove it before it messes up everyone's Friedday. PS it's still not as bad as those bikes of which we do not speak
