  1. The lift part I get, the wife/partner part confuses the crap out of me.
  2. Alans shop must surely rank as the best ever in SA in terms of bike porn. I remember drooling over the Colnago Ferrari's in his window. The shop was right next door to the Ducati dealer and House of Sports Cars.
  3. No expenses spared with this baby.
  4. Wow, that black master is friggin awesome!
  5. Those Dogmas are notoriously heavy, especially with DI2.
  6. What a d!ck. if I was one of his sponsors i'd drop him like a sack of.....
  7. Just some info, you dont need a 29er frame to run 29er wheels with cyclocross tires. I have 29er xt wheels on my 26" GT Avalanche and they fit perfectly. Obviously I cant fit mtb tires but it makes for an awesome commuter.
  8. I wish them all the best. I recognise Sean from hanging out at Willie's shop in days long gone. He always gave me really good service and he deserves to do well.
  9. Cool idea, this is something i also wanted to try. Will be interested to see if the road crank works out. I tried a road compact on my GT but didn't have enough chainring clearance.
  10. Theres a big difference between "knowing" and knowing. Unles they physically see him with a needle in his arm they cant say anything because they dont have proof.
  11. Now students, turn to page 56 of your text books where we will discuss todays marketing case study on how to ruin your business in four sentences.
  12. +1. You're a victim of a disease. Here clean riders and cycling in general is the victim. You know, at first I was buying this "we had to do it" and "no one understands what we have to go through" victim mentality crap, but not anymore. They are cheats and need to be treated as such.
  13. True, true. But he was entertaining.
  14. Man, I miss Chunky on here. We need his input now more than ever.
  15. Really lame. What about those clean guys who just thought they weren't good enough to compete against him. What a p.o.s.
  16. Just kidding. The hub isn't really the best place to ask for advice unfortunately. Such are the egos in this place that people would rather phone their better halves for a lift home than be seen dead with a saddle bag on their bikes. Its just a bag that you attach to your saddle, to keep stuff in for goodness sake. But no, someone somewhere decided it was uncool, so no more saddle bags.
  17. Yes it can. The person who created the ad can delete it.
  18. The only difference is that the back plate on the 3 x 10 extends lower down so that it can pick up the chain from the small chainring.
  19. Sheesh...newbies!
  20. And you sit here trolling a cycling forum instead of being out there feeding them.
  21. My 11 yo son refuses to go ride his bike with his friends because i make him wear a helmet. Its got to the point now where he hates anything to do with bicycles. I'm not really prepared to back down because i'm responsible for his well being, but then i have also lost out on the joy of sharing my passion with him. Ironically, i survived years of never wearing a helmet, and that includes the 80's bmx craze and early 90's mountain biking.
  22. LOL. Ok will try that, I was just being far too impatient. I was expecting it to behave like nitromors. I should have suspected something was up when I spilt some on my arm and it didn't burn a hole through my skin.
  23. I bought some today, but think I bought the wrong kind. My frame just sat there laughing at it. Do I buy the dipping grade or the high performance coating remover? The gel/brush grade is what I bought.
  24. Nice score.
  25. Everyone is a has-been. He won the tour 3 times, and his gripes about Lance seem to hold some water now that all this has come out. In terms of credibility he comes up trumps in my opinion.
