  1. The case was concluded. Specialized was awarded $1 for their troubles. Was pathetic of them to sue in the first place.
  2. Because we live in South Africa, not Cuba, thank goodness for that. If you cant afford it, dont ride.
  3. I have read elsewhere that the 10 spd mtb derailleurs will work with the road shifters, but not the 9 speed derailleurs.
  4. You get blanks and then you get blanks. Open moulds are where different shops share the same mould. So just because a Chinarello looks like a Pinarello it doesn't mean its gone through the same quality control(if any) and the materials used could be vastly different. The trick is to do your research and find out who the reputable suppliers are. The roadbikereview forums are the perfect place to start. I prefer not to support the Chinese in any form whatsoever, even if its a legit brand like Pinarello. To me they represent everything thats wrong with this world. I know its just about impossible not to buy Chinese in one form or the other, but if I have a choice then i'm buying the non chinese product.
  5. 561 calipers are long reach, so if they came with your bike there is a good chance that 105's(or dura ace for that matter) won't work. Most comfort oriented bikes with longer wheelbases require longer reach calipers.
  6. Lol. Dont you just love first world problems.
  7. People with that kind of money aren't successfull by caring about what other people think of them.
  8. Nice. Those guys dont ride with panzie weight weenie bottle cages.
  9. This place is full of trolls rsa, just ignore them.
  10. That is the default disclaimer on every Campganolo product. I'm not sure if it is enforced because I've never had any warranty issues with Campag products.
  11. Well, if you take your Ferrari to a Tata mechanic he's going to be just as clueless as the bike shops you visit.
  12. Fulcrum are bullet proof wheels. Made by campagnolo. I had racing 3's and no issues at all. Not as light as the eastons though.
  13. Nic White is racing vets. So you have guys working 50 hrs a weeks racing against guys at the tail end of a pro career. Doesn't sound fair to me.
  14. They do their own design, but yes, their monocoque frames are built by Giant. The C59 is built inhouse using carbon tubes imported from Japan.
  15. Buy a cannndale caad 10 for 22K and spend the rest of the cash on a nice set of wheels.
  16. How dare you you ride without a helmet. My gran may have seen you and then she thinks its ok for her to ride without a helmet. What if she rides into oncoming traffic without a helmet and gets killed, how would you feel then hey? Sheesh!
  17. Morally correct? WTF has morals got to do with the price and weight of your bike?
  18. Zipp is the other. Just before the global economy meltdown, Sram got some funding from Lehman Brothers Investment Banking. After they went under, Johan Rupert bought the whole investment company so he subsequently owns quite a large stake in Sram. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trilantic_Capital_Partners
  19. Rock Shox? How about this trivia. What South African family indirectly own a share in Sram?
  20. Nope, Sram also makes a crank power meter, known as the Quarq.
  21. Oh wow, would love to own that.
  22. But a pinarello belongs on the back of a Geely, Cherry or GWM. It's simply not an Italian thoroughbred.
  23. True that, make that an ultra smooth graded dirt road then.
  24. Looks like alot of fun, especially on some fast downhill jeep track.
