  1. The best post of this thread... I hope those 2 angels get burnt... as well as their so called parents...
  2. Carnavon is the 1st hint - very, very, very small place. Highly unlikely home for a cyclist with a hydration pack.
  3. True, true, but all these youngsters that arrived on the scene.... Exciting racing awaits!!!
  4. What a disaster!!! I so much feel for him. Had a pretty meh year after the Giro. Last year it was the Tokyo disappointment, and this the Worlds. Will he or his great rival WvA ever win the Worlds? Time is running out....
  5. I've used superglue with good effect on tubbies where there is a small cut in the outer surface. Just to prevent sand/grit to work its way into the tyre and cause a possible puncture. For a proper puncture I use vulcanizing glue + a road tube patch on the inside of the tyre.
  6. Oh no!!! Now Mas needs to step up. I don't want an arrogant winner.
  7. Only watched the stage now. King Louis, jou doring!!! Well done, and so long overdue!!!!
  8. Well, she cannot retire and never being on Colnago/Campy. It's like dying and only had Casio, Spur, Koffiehuis, Toyotas and Margate all your life.
  9. Snap. We did a fairly extensive road trip, visiting less touristy places, so saw the locals in action. I was again so impressed with the place. EVERYONE works hard, EVERYONE, works to a high standard. Nobody is just standing around. Refreshing.
  10. True, their start was a dream, exceptional!! But in the spirit of continuous improvement, which is expected of any business organisation, they missed the boat. I have got no opinion on Doug, positive or negative, I tried to look at this from a business results perspective, and getting the best out of your people. Top talent come in, fails to deliver, and then delivers again elsewhere? Just seems odd. BTW, Jumbo Visa has a interesting vid on the team failure and successes in the '21 Tour. (YTube) I was actually fascinated to see how "business like" they are running their athletes/team in the drive for results. Sure they created the vid themselves, but I was quite impressed with the team management.
  11. Agree. Louis stunning result and RjvR good support role at Soudal during the Tour supports what we suspected for some time now. They only upside will be that a good few people will get employment for a short while.
  12. At just over 6 hrs per week for the past 4 weeks I think it spot on. You're under trained...
  13. Look at the company he is in. Such class. Which makes the forgotten years even harder to swallow. I agree, it was excellent seeing him actually RACING. And being excellent at it!!
  14. This will be the image of the year for me. Pure class and respect between these two. Refreshing to see the youngsters having no ego.
  15. Louis jumping 3 places to 13th, 1 min behind Kruijswijk. Madouas 2 min behind. Louis needs 5 min for a top 10. Needs to go into the break again!!! Barguil dropping to 24th, eina.
  16. I see Louis is sitting at 16th, a minute after Barguil, and a minute ahead of Jungels.
  17. Just watched the stage with the DSTv function of having 2 hrs "back-up". I cannot remember such a stunning stage for ages. The next week and a half is going to be INTENSE. The Pog will not give up.
  18. We were in the Aigle/Lac Leman area 3 weeks ago, including riding some of the stage route. Picture perfect!!! Swiss is a stunningly "hilly" place.
  19. If Wout is on GC duties today and MVDP gets into the (winning) break... and wins, he can be in yellow tonight. Stranger things have happened.... I'm betting/hoping this happens.
  20. Like we said in the old days. Look at the 3 fingers pointing back to you...
  21. Not sure what your budget is but a great bike shop in Kempton was selling rims brake Bianchi's with 11 spd Campag for really good prices. No way that you will not be able to maintain such a bike for the new >5 years.
