  1. Yoh, looks gorgeous, will fit my gravel bike perfectly, but that price!!!!
  2. You need to get out more, once your visa is approved!!!! BTW, I also live in the surrounding area!!!!
  3. Making an interesting Venn Diagram....
  4. Brakpan, Benoni, Boksburg - also known as the Bermoerde Triangle!!!
  5. I see a lot of red numbers for March and YTD.... back to the office you go.
  6. Hey Brendon It doesn't really matter, but that is a 2003-2004 model. Just so you know... I am still riding mine as a training bike. Stunning bike One thing that you might try to get it more comfortable, is getting a much shorter stem, at tilt your saddle to a neutral position (as a starting point)
  7. Done the Epic way back in '09, and then also CPT twice. Epic standard lower by a long shot. It was like being back in the Army. The you get the Sani2C which raised the bar in cleanliness and food quality - and perhaps have a larger field too?
  8. I never would have betted that Ganna will outsprint WVA and Pogi in a 3-up sprint. Strange things happens after 300km in the saddle...
  9. I cannot remember all the details of the Sani list, but a few thoughts.. The tents are close to each and are waifer thin, Lots of snores and/or farting for the entire night. Take some comfortable earplugs and a sleeping tablet (1/2 per night). Take an extra Petzl as a tent lamp. Virtually no need to take any supplements - there are PLENTY to eat/drink. Only need it for the 1st 2 bottles on day 1. I packed most my spares/stuff into ice cream tubs to help organise. Ditto for clothes into daily bags - again not to have a sea of stuff floating around. Oh, and those empty bags are handy for the "vrot" used and smelly clothing.
  10. 1000% better investment vs the latest so called most aero/lightest/stiffest road bike at double the price
  11. I used to be a 1000% MvdP fan, but over the years Wout's remarkable versatility and being a super team player grown on me. His support to Jonas last year was incredible, esp in the mountains. They are both super athletes in their own right. And when they do battle head on, it is always EPIC!!! The respect between them also seems to grow, both mentioning this in recent interviews. No arrogance!!
  12. I am still on Time pedals for road - and with a number of bikes and shoes, I don't want to switch to something else. No power options 😞 So I'm running my XC100 MTB pedals on the road bike - the Velominati will die a 1000 deaths hearing this, but it's lekker to have the data points.
  13. I bought XC100 since the XC200's additional features doesn't interest me vs the on cost. Bought the 2nd XC100 set as an impulse buy since I am too lazy to constantly swop the pedals out from one bike to the next. 1st set permanently on my gravel bike, 2nd set rotates between the MTB's and the road bikes.
  14. Figjam, you missed that I actually have the pedal system x2.
  15. Flexibility in moving from one bike to the other. Weight difference between left and right is insignificant.
  16. Huisgenoot - fotos wat ruk, verhale wat skok... 🙂
  17. Maybe I should by the 4iii system for the gravel bike. Sell you that pair, then buy Lindt with the change 🙂
  18. Nope 😞 BTW, I paid abt R13k a pop. Garmin ran a special a while back at less, see the latest price on their site is R14k.
  19. Hi KOM I've bought a set of XC100 pedals last year March. Easy to install and easy to link to your Garmin app and watch. Easy to calibrate. Didn't even bother to fit the Garmin cleats and continued with my Shimano cleats. Be aware to tighten the battery cap of the Left pedal and the end cap of the Right pedal properly. You don't want to lose them. Initial battery life was good for about 100hrs and the replacement (LR44 x 2, Duracell) about 80-90hrs. 2x software updates since March that corrected an issue where the remaining battery life indication was not working properly. Power readouts are 100% stable. This set was installed on my gravel bike and I bought a 2nd set in Sept that I swop between my other bikes, but this was not really needed, since it is very easy to swop the pedals.
  20. Old wheel cheaper to replace vs a new Bora/Zipp/Roval/whateva. Silly question, what is a non competing rider doing in that busy area?
