  1. I'll never get tired of Europe, especially doing the non touristy stuff. The Bossi....no words!!!
  2. Lovely bikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Some real hotties!! OR take the same amount of money and have a dream holiday in Europe. I just had 3 weeks in Provence, Italy and Switzerland for a bit less that was priceless.
  3. vdp sat up with about 500m to go. 3 weeks is a looong race, perhaps he is playing the long game for the jersey. I hope so!!!
  4. That bike throw was perfect and made the difference!!!
  5. You don't need the dual side. Single side pretty affordable considering that ones pay more that >R1k for tyres, > R2.5k for bibs, etc, etc....
  6. NICE, your power curve will be super across short term and those long hrs. I still have to go for a 4 and 5 hr ride (Maluti???) to get those data points!!
  7. We'll see for what I am using it for. DC Rainmaker seems pretty happy, but he's in Holland, and not in the Karoo. I mostly focus on marathon and I've had very little super serious rock strikes on my normal XT's during races the past decade (Epic, CPT 3-Towers, Sani's etc, etc). But I am a cautious/conservative rider. So I would say that the spindle would be able to cope with my riding style.
  8. Close to MTB power meters... I recently bought the Garmin Rally XC pedals and installed it on the gravel bike. Great experience thus far, but have done mostly road work. Of course easy to move to the MTB, or I even the road bike (if I dare the XC pedals on a roadie)
  9. Disagree. Lance sold a few....😜
  10. Yep, next good opportunity JC. See you there!!!! Most riders seems unfazed by the open seeded chaos. I'm too afraid and OCD, and too old of course. I cannot even try to contemplate another serious fall and another comeback to full race fitness.
  11. I'm moving back to Vets group as soon as I'm strong enough. Nearly there. Much safer, smaller bunches and most are ex Pro's/80's amateurs. They have bike and bunch skills. The open groups are crazy, been like that for quite a few years now. The guys are strong and fit, but bike handling skills and peleton "rules" are non existent. If you don't ride close to the front, your chance of a fall is massive. Especially on these easy and flat races. I was lucky to miss the big fall in BL at 70km. I was in the top 30, sense it was too risky and moved to top 10. Fall happened a few mins after. Getting too old for this...
  12. I was one of them. Not at Vets level yet, but getting closer. And I wanted to ride with my club mates!!
  13. rather a s**** shower & spray. Sies man!!!!
  14. Same here!! Incredible talent!!!
  15. I see this turn (a real fast left hander) is still covered in the gravel and large stones. Perhaps they will fix tonight??
  16. Great pics showing the hazards. DANKIE!!!
  17. Frosty Are we coming back via ERPM again? Must be close you your last circle?
  18. They can only jump ship just before we hit the Mineshaft....
  19. An exceptional and very impressive result. This season is going to be a humdinger!!
  20. She had a stunning race. I think her best ever?
  21. I'm planning to buy the single sided version - see no reason for dual system, apart from having more data that I don't need.
  22. That is great info!!!! I was wondering abt the battery availability. Takealot or something more challenging?
