  1. So let me get this... Baster is mad that 9 nails cannot be polished, and then gets the idea of life insurance wrong? Life insurance in short is something that will pay out if something should happen to you (e.g. disability), in order for you to maintain a certain standard of living. Should you die, your family can maintain said standard of living. Should you live, you get a couple of bucks back. You win all the way (depending on policy options). I think Baster is pissed off because of the Nail thing... PS, first for women discriminates against men: But we live with it... Boys will be boys...
  2. Even then I will see red! Tired drivers, just like taxi drivers, is bad news!
  3. I SEE F$%&@#N RED!!! Sorry about the caps... RED I TELL YOU!!!
  4. NICE!!! What clear coat did you use?
  5. This is quite a delicate discussion. I will say that it is not just cyclists and Motorists, but also the government. How many bike lanes are there in the country? We need roads with a shoulder. We need awareness campaigns. We need more respect for fellow road users. We need law enforcers that enforce the whole law and not just the bit that rolls in the money at the hot spots. In short, we need change. And till such time, that motorists, cyclists and pedestrians choose to ignore the rules and the other people on the roads, you can get used to riding MTB.
  6. Im trying to fix my athletes foot after a day of fun in end of november... a month of no riding...
  7. Ok, so cars dont stop, and you dont stop ... go figure. Stupid must die. And ignorance as well. Its the same road, with the same rules for all. Obey them, apply some common sence and remember, steel will win against skin. Save your own ass and our (cyclists) name.
  8. The pic shows a sram crank and RS20 shimano wheels... Not to slat eyou on those, but is the seller selling you a lot of jargon or the actual product? RS20 is regarded as training wheels by most, although I use them on my Giant for racing. Some guys have issues with spokes breaking on the rear, so if you are more than 90kg, you might have some trouble. I agree with Witkop about the Tiagra cranks. I am not sure if I will buy for R10K, but then again, I have not seen the actual bike. Take it for a ride, note the components and then decide for yourself...
  9. You know that the hub and pictures go together like braai and slaai... Where are the pictures?
  10. I am not sure about the shimano is the worst statement. For a novice I would say either shimano or campy, as sram's double tap is something youll need to get used to. Road is also way different to mtb, for instance gearing, riding position etc. But I second the idea to check it out before buying. And do not ride roadie with your camelbak...
  11. Scheme you kick your opposition off their bikes like in the end of the trailer.... Muwhahaha!
  12. +4 kilos and freakin athletes foot.... Faaaaaaaak!
  13. Fever = No riding. Thus the obvious question, will you be able to recover for two weeks and do with just the one week of training before hand? If yes, garlic is spot on, most home remedies include something like a chicken garlic soup. Grab yourself some kiddies multi vits as well, and have one in the morning and one at night (Vitamin B and C is quite important). They are not as strong as adult ones and something like supradyn recharge just gets washed down the loo. And yes, lots of water!
  14. Well, I am using the diet fuel and phedra cut... Initially the weight loss came fast. I reached my goal weight within two months... BUT, I did not look as expected. I must also admit that the closest that I got to diet, was losing sugar and cutting on salt and spices. I picked up quite a few kilos this December, but I am planning to have my belly off by end of Feb. Just remember that it takes a lot of work and dedication. You have to stick to it.
  15. JA, about that. Its fine to kill cyclists? Intentional or not? Sorry about that Kona, but we are cyclists and quite pationate people as well. Dont want to see it? Close your eyes then or leave the hub, but it will be like that. This is who we are.
  16. I am apaulled!!! the transport minister should have a serious look at motorists and athletes training. There has been countless incidents with runners and cyclists, but nothing gets done. mark roads, add bike lanes and start a tv and radio awareness campaign. ASAP! Cyclists needs to voice up! RIP Guys!
  17. Want too deal with a proper shop? Or need the ego boost of having your @SS licked and B@lls rubbed? That is exactly why you can have your shop, and I will go to Epic Cycles...
  18. Sales very helpful? No ways, called the yesterday to find out about a GTW 3.0 bike, and the prick who answered the phone, talked to me as if I am 5 years old.. Quote: "we have many bikes" and later in the conversation: "We dont have that bike". He was very unhelpful, and hence I am going to spend my money at Epic Cycles. No more FPC Irene.
  19. Damn... I am in the wrong industry... Will have to swap keyboards for brushes...
  20. That does look good! Why not invest in some black wheels?
  21. Some pics please...
  22. Ah... My bad... Wrong interpretation...
  23. @ Butafly... They were deemed structural unsound... Now think of your house's roof... And if that may be declared unsound... It it is a tiled roof, you have close to 100kg per square mete above your head. Should that crash down on to you, you will die. So why would you have something that is 80 meters high, stand around thant could possibly claim a single life? How about ten? Twat = someone who does not understand the physics of gravity... They will be missed, but they should go...
