  1. I will pay a doctor to resurrect and heal this Mother F#$$&R, in order for me to inflict as much pain as possible. My Comment on the other thread about this: It is really pointless... And why? For R500 for the bike? It is because these thugs are above the law. And the law enforcers gives a crap about the law... Julius is a bloody agent... These F@$$&RS are just plain spineless stupid criminals. Sorry, but I will not hold back. May they burn in hell and rot in this life.

    GXP BB

I have GXP on my MTB that I do not treat very well... And no issues at all! Is it fit properly? Maybe have the frame re-threaded before you get the new BB...
  6. Same Here... Bought saddles, chains, stems... No issues!
  7. :whistling: HAHA! :whistling:
  8. My average heart rate for a 60 min Gym session is lower than my average heart rate for a 3 hour ride. If you follow this logic, you should become a samurai and cut the air with your blade in slow-mo. And do not make "wooosh" sounds. But yes, it does help. I agree on the core, and exercises like jump squats, weighted step ups, lunges, etc will help! In addition to this, it is proven that the combination of cardio and weight training aids weight loss, so if you trade some flab for muscles, you will notice it in the saddle, in life and most importantly the morale boost of looking better cannot be quantified.
  9. This guys is clearly looking for some attention, and he got it... My post:
  10. Not too bad... I am 76kg, and use these on my Giant TCR. The bike rolls fast, and feedback is good. I do have friends that broke some spokes on the wheels, but they are 100kg+...
  11. Agreed on this, but it will never happen. Rather take all the criminals' rights away and let the bastards work in the sun - e.g. building road and doing heavy labor!
  12. MTB... Nada... Road... ACDC, Angels and Airwaves, RHCP, Korn, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, etc... Also some dance, e.g. Sasha's Hit Pics, Ministry of sound... And then just the odd tune here and there such as We built this city, Peaches,... Lively stuff. PS, no earphones, just shox...
  13. And they work lekker... I have centrelock shimano wheels with Alligator Adapters and Hygia discs... Just watch out for over tightening them...
  14. +1 - We are looking at doing some night races, so i'll mount this energizer on my helmet (using cable ties): And get 2 30 bucks torches for the handle bars...
  15. Nice Idea! Are they good for night MTB'ing?
  16. This is not toilet paper now, is it? so pick it up... its a no brainer.
  17. Eina!
  18. Insured with my usual insurance at Santam - R58 for 3 bikes valued at: R17000, R16000, R5800
  19. Nope, you are not... People will say all sorts of stuff to get out of trouble... Interesting bit, someone has died, and the driver was not arrested? WTF?
  20. I have a similar problem... hopefully there will be boerrie rolls and beers a plenty along the route... Otherwise it is going to be a loooong day!
  21. Agreed! So the guide here would be to have the number on when you start, but remove it after the first km... So you may not ride with someone else's number... Then don't... Ride with no number... what can they do? If you can't substitute at the expo, well... Bolts, nuts, screws... Choose one! "Sorry sir, the number tore as I reached for my goo..."
  22. Substitutions Substitutions are now closed. No late substitutions will be accepted at Registration. Substitution entries closed on 24 February 2012. Riding with someone else’s number is illegal. Critical medical and emergency contact information is linked to your race number and is our first port of call in an emergency. With 35 000 cyclists on the road on Race Day it is extremely important that the correct medical information is linked to each race number, to enable our medical team to respond efficiently to any emergency. Should riders be found riding on someone else’s number, both riders could be sanctioned. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is off their website. I find it clear to understand. No you cannot.
  23. also, the inertia of the heavier wheels will carry you further... but that said, they will take up more energy to get rolling... But you will also have less rolling resistance, as well as minimal wind resistance on the tire as well... I say, go for the slicks, as you will be able to get them going easily with MTB gearing... I will also be going MTB and slicks with the Missus this year...
  24. Sorry dude, don't have the conquest any more... But I just lifted the spoiler from the back with my hand (on the inside, pressing upward - not too hard), and then fed the strap through from the front. I cant get any links to the rack, but it was something like this:
