SUV's are not tall enough for extended seat posts. With a MTB the dropper seat post helps 👍 Certainly no one size fits all. I must have spent many hours moving the bikes about before settling on my layout.

Both these bikes fit inside the Ertiga. With 3 usable seats. I removed seat #7 and added front wheel mounts. 30 sekonds to remove the rear wheel guides, flip up the seats and have a 6 seater to treat the Potch train when the visit us for the CTCT. @SilverRider Mounting brackets are from Holdfast. Your LBS can order this for you. You are welcome to pop over if you want to see what worked, and what I will change next time. I am in Bellville Not sure I would use a 3D printed bracket to mount the wheel. It may be handy for a bracket to limiting side ways sway.

It probably depends a lot on the "type of impact" Straight on .... MIPS has nothing to add in that case. Mine was very much an impact and then one massive torsional force on my neck. I do believe it saved me. But I am the first to acknowledge this is anecdotal at best ..... (good enough for me ... in this case)

11 March 2023 I had the unfortunate opportunity to TEST MIPS ... High speed incident landing on my head, and twisting my neck into my chest. Two things happened: 1. The helmet did an excellent job of absorbing the impact. Few stones left inside the foam of the helmet. 2. Most of the "twist" action was absorbed by the MIPS. The inner layer of the MIPS stayed in place, with the outer shell of the helmet rotating over my head and face, much like a motorcycle visor would. (strange the details we remember in that moment) Without the MIPS my neck may well have suffered severe injury. Some other brands sell "similar to MIPS" ... but when you look at it, it is actually crumple zones, not a rotating shell. Please ensure you get MIPS or equivalent rotating functionality.

Very well put. I had the old tank with compressor on top, the oil type. After a few decades, and a few repairs, I bought an oil-less compressor with a 20 liter tank. Significantly MORE noise. As its flow rate is less, this noise lasts longer to fill the tank. Just blowing the chain dry has the compressor restarting .... I certainly wont buy such a small oil-less unit again. But yes, is certainly works well for tubeless.

They DO !!! 👍 Actually lent my set to a friend last week. Late afternoon, going through forest sections, out INTO the setting sun, back into shade .... Their reaction when they SEE it WORK is always priceless. I leave home in the DARK, with these on, and keep them on for the ride. Whatever the condition, the glasses adapt instantly.

Maybe to prevent what happened to me. 0,5 is a LOT of wear. With a fair chance that the ring also needs replacement .... I have since done about 3 000 km. No sounds or slipping nor shifting issues.

I tried that .... TOO LATE ... chain ring does not like the new chain. No, I wont be swopping chains every 500km .... maybe every 1000 to 1500km .... For now I am still riding on that chain, chain ring and cassette. Now past 0,5, but still working, so it stays on ....

We did Durbanville - Klipheuwel - Philladelphia. Passing Old Malmesbury. Perfect riding weather, even with the breeze on the return leg. Lots of cyclists out and about. Might have passed you.

One morr CRUCIAL difference between these two ... A friend have bought a couple of bikes from BikeMarket. They made a real effort to fix issues !!! They clearly allow for this in their business model. WeBuyCars .... handy for SELLING .... do a bit of a search about their lack of support when issues arise .... buy from them with eyes wide open !!!!
