to be honest I have very few problems on my route to work. What I do see is that people are more tolerant when I'm on my cheap MTB. But on the road racing bike...its different.

hmmm, my previuos boss was in engineering for Krygkor and thats what he told me about alu welding, maybe another application or serios stuff. If you really into it, or not ,get a wasted piece of alu and your welder and play, experience is the best teacher. If you stuff it up, you've done it wrong.

nope, its a specialised job, alu has to be welded in a vacuum free from oxygen if I don't have my brains scrambled. Very tricky to weld.
