  1. New Bike Day!!!!!!😁 A big thank you to Leeroy at Biket in Hillcrest. Excellent service.
  2. Been using my Wahoo ELEMNT for 3 years without any issues. Everything just integrates seamlessly, power meter, HRM, cadence sensor. Setup from your phone is very easy. My only issue ever was that my Garmin Varia rear radar couldn't connect, so I had to use the separate display unit. But when Garmin increased the Varia's compatibility to work with other devices it solved that problem and i can now get all the information on the display of my Wahoo. It even beeps when detecting a car. I have just ordered the new Varia radar but I am sticking with my ELEMNT.
  3. Also have a look at these. https://solomonscycles.co.za/products/mavic-crossmax-29er-wheelset/
  4. You can also use zwiftalizer.com to analyse your ride and any connectivity issues. Go to the site, import the log file from your ride, and you will get a breakdown on network errors, connection attempts etc.
  5. Yes I have a 4 piece fly rod that I take along. Reel, rod and flies goes into a case that can carry over my shoulder. Never used a telescopic rod, but if its light and flexible it should be good fun.
  6. Combining two hobbies. Cycling and finding that perfect spot for hunting yellowfish on fly. Close to Machadodorp in Mpumalanga.
  7. I bought a pair of Leatt Shoes and Giant pedals from Olympic Cycles a couple of months ago. Really happy being back on flats and the shoes are great. https://www.olympiccycles.co.za/shop/leatt-dbx-2-0-flat-sneaker/
  8. Did anyone notice that Cycle Lab vouchers are back in the online shop?
  9. Tomorrow will be eleven years for me. The attached book " Never take another puff " was a game changer for me. I gave up smoking cold turkey and never smoked again. I hope this book can also help someone else.NTAP_large_print_212_pages.pdf
  10. Helmets, baggies, gloves etc. https://www.foxracing.co.za/special-price/?special-price=1
  11. I don't think so. I actually had to go one size bigger when I bought mine.
  12. https://www.onedayonly.co.za/asterope-winter-bib-tights-9.html Very good price for these. Used them this last winter and even at -1 I didn't feel the cold. Also some specials on short bibs.
  13. Hi Christian Thanks for your input. I am now the very happy owner of a Kickr 3. But then I have to confess I also have the Wahoo Elemnt, Tickr HR monitor and the Wahoo speed and cadence sensor. So I wasn’t going anywhere else for a IDT. I run the beta version of Zwift on Android and everything connects seamlessly.
  14. Just as I have done all my research and decided on buying a KICKR 3 2017, they go and launch a KICKR 4 2018. Now do I wait for the new one to arrive in SA or just buy the KICKR 3? From what I can see these are the changes. Ergonomic Grip Carrying Handle Placement Change (Moved to accommodate bikes with disc brakes)Quieter unit (Wahoo redesigned the belt system to be much more quiet than any predecessor)Additional thru axle compatibility (12×142 and 12×148 thru axle)Addition of a heavier flywheel (16 lbs vs 12.5 lbs from the previous version)Compatible with the KICKR Headwind
  15. My CAAD 8 with a few upgrades.
