  4. I'd like to revive a post now.....
  5. haha YOU wont be at the back of the pack, BG dave you can ride with ME at the back of the pack The way I'm riding at the moment won't be in front either. Just hoping for a middle spot for now
  6. Nancy, please count me in as well.
  7. It's not very technical. We rode almost all of the route a few weeks back and it was great. Only concern is cheaters and maybe a few backed up spots on the single track. A lot of single track so don't know how overtaking friendly the course will be. And yes BB there are the wider sections but they seemed to be on one side of the course....
  8. 3rd one coming up for me...bored girl2009-11-10 02:22:37
  9. I think the kit might have come through DR
  10. As far as I know those wrappers are environment friendly as well.....which I am sure adds to their price...
  11. For some reason SLX have this really weird "desing" for their cahinring teeth....a brand new one gave us a scare after the Monster when we though it had been chipped pretty badly. Then discovered they look like that from the start.... So they might look trashed but they are actually ok....
  12. Was wondering the same thing the other day.I have the RS200 and my vo2max seems a bit high. Such fancy things you spend your time with.....fitness tests, all kinds of other tools.... Since I've started cycling I've never ridden with a HR monitor....don't have to worry about anything. If I am suffering I am suffering, no fancy toy will tell me better
  13. Since you asked what the fuss is about, i'll give my humble summary here: - they do stop better. The leverage that comes with hydraulics, plus the very small gap you mention makes for potent stopping power. - If you buckle your wheel, no problem. Your disks will still work fine. - If you ride through sand, mud and other crap, this stuff will not (or is less likely to) clog up your brakes. There are also several downsides, some of which you've already discovered. Would be interesting to know which brakes you have. I think the newer Shimano brakes have eliminated several of the problems that plague disk brakes.
  14. I wish.... 2nd lap was a killer. It was HOT!
  15. If it was me I'd want something that's not too sweet or heavy eg. banana gives me a sort of heavy, thick drink - good for recovery drinks but not for something ont he bike. Same with coffee or chocolate - wouldn't want to water that taste down. Also however much I love real cherries, cherry flavor is something else....if it's something like in the Dr.Pepper drink it's ok...otherwise it's a bit fake. It is also very easy to stuff up flavors. Stick to something that won't disappoint people like orange/lemon, can't really stuff that up now can you?
  16. Yes I saw the same thing....1st 4 people were ghosts...
  17. ok. I thought the old FS of theirs was the I drive and the new the Marathon. I rode the Marathon the other day. Didn't ride it for more than 3km but I quite liked it...
  18. I suppose they did redesign it since the FS is now called Marathon...
  19. Is it you then?
