  1. I had to use my Raleigh one from PnP (R49.95) on 94.7 day. Discovered my tyre was flat when loading the bike, pumped it up enough to be able to ride and then rode with that pressure for another month.....yeah I know silly but I did...
  2. ? But but but BG does he do the following huh? ? ...and it sleeps inside next to his bed...and I think it has some kind of blankie for when it gets cold I am not that close to him, wouldn't know He rides a Merida now....no problems so far
  3. I don't want an adjusted time. I don't want a result in the short distance if I've entered the long one. It's no one's fault but my own if I can't finish a silly 70km race....but then that's me
  4. Think the guys are Trek have seriously lost it....like that flame bike....
  5. At least he's not ticking...
  6. Hope it's not going to explode....
  7. 13.5cm??? That just sounds insane.....
  8. ? Will not matter. ? Mountainbiking is only for chicks and moffies. ? ? I know.....I guess that's why top MEN roadies get beaten by girls at those races.... bored girl2009-07-08 08:34:02
  9. I love topics like this.... They make me wanna post results from MTB races....
  10. Since everyone has some issue to moan about I feel I should say a few good words on the most critical site in SA. I have been quite the active supporter of King of Bling in the last few months and I have been rewarded. It is nice to stay informed while trying real hard to beat your friends to the top of the bling ladder. I got my issue of Tread yesterday, in my post box. I hope it will continue to come and the previous thief that took my Shape magazine has hopefully relocated. That is less than a week since I sent Pantani my address. Impressive hey? Then I also got not 1 but 2 tubs of Whasp drink. I have not yet tried it but that might have something to do with winter and me being lazy and cold. I intend do to a race on the weekend and I expect a boost of note And last but not least....my Knog light. I like the 6 options of blinking on it and I presume I'd be really confused on Friday, while trying to decide which one to use for the day. So in these days of gloom I am saying thank you to all that came through on a promise and provided such awesome rewards for simply staying informed! Well done Bling man! bored girl2009-07-08 02:18:41
  11. Amazing really.... I own a Specialized frame. I bought it from Kiwi right here on the hub. I didn't go to a shop that stocks the brand I just bought it. That, the Specialized bottle cage on my MTB and my MTB shoes are the items that I own from that brand. And yet when I phoned Le Peloton (and got their number off the Specialized website) to enquire about testing a saddle I: 1. Got a call back after I left a message for the relevant person; 2. He asked me a million questions about everything not just my saddle and why and how; 3. He made an appointment with me to help me choose a saddle that will be comfortable for me and hopefully help me in the long run with my performace; 4. He spent hours setting up everything; 5. I tried on 3 saddles before I knew which saddle I can now purchase; I was a normal person, not a shop, calling from who knows where to enquire about a saddle. If they went so far for me why wouldn't they extend the same service to someone who sells their brand??? I have only good experience with Specialized. I love everything I own of theirs and once I grow up I'll get a MTB too! What amazes me more is that people are ready to write off a brand just because someone said something. We don't know the people posting the stuff half the time anyway.....why take their word? And the other thing....retailers, pro riders, sponsors......they all read this wonderful site, don't be fooled. And the lesson we've learnt in the last few months is that we should be careful what we say....bored girl2009-07-08 01:08:37

  17. Well all this talk...bout the ultimate JHB rd race...
  18. You guys are just too funny DR are you investing in another rd bike then???
  19. ? Sorry mon ami! But bashguard vs chainwheel protector ....... lets see:- ? Bashguard - prevent damage to chainwheels while taking on extreme cross country and other such 'crazy' things as T is apt to do ? Chainwheel protector - this device on the other hand is to prevent the rider (yourself in this case) from getting chainwheel tattoo's or other damage to the body from the chainwheels while stumbling through technical sections ? You see the difference now . Having said that I have it from an undisclosed?reliable (OK not sure how reliable as it's DR) source that your technical skills have in fact probably surpassed mine and your 'final' sprint has also become rather 'explosive' Whatever If there are no gazillion rocks and huge drop offs/roll downs I am okish. As to my sprint.....he challenged me, I said no at first but he insisted. Think he was looking for it
