Well no...who's gonna sponsor those? If you think about it a big chunk of money comes from the weekend warriors like all of us on the hub. I asked similar question the other day....if 100km are not enough to toughen the boys why don't they ride 250km races during the week in some remote place with mountains of hell...like somewhere in Mpumalanga for instance. Same thing....it will cost too much bloody money...

I would like to know how many people will actually be there to see the winners receive their prize money.... A bit off topic but prize giving "ceremonies" are just patheticly attended. If sponsors want the exposure, maybe someone should move their @sses faster and do what needs to be done so as many people can attend as possible. Obviously I am not involved so there might be some big secret to prize awarding which is escaping me....it might be more than this one came 1st, this one 2nd and this one 3rd....really...do tell...bored girl2009-09-29 04:13:25

SAA bent mine for me. I was in a state of panic when I arrived in Knysna 2 yrs back and couldn't put my wheel on. On my return to JHB, I took it to a shop and they bent it back to normal. I also purchased a new one at the same time just in case....was R100 back then and I am still using it.

My merida came with an Alivio one. I went from 8 speed to 9 speed with no hassles 6 months after I bought the bike. Never changed the crankset or FD. I changed it the beginning of this year for no other reason but I got a great deal on complete LX groupset. I also bought a LX crankset off CRC - was an awesome price and it was 170mm....what more could one want....
