  1. Dont listen to all the k3k people can get their mouths before even their own goblets refuse to sell anymore bull and they start tripping over their spit glands. Seriously, I recently saw a mates new Silverback Moda 29er - this bike will shut all the critics up and then convert them. Period. Really awesome and great bang for your buck. But lets face it; good marketing, huge sponsorships and brand names will continue to take money from anyone with their nose in the air.
  2. You have decided already - you now want someone to confirm this so you feel you are doing the right thing, the best choice....?? Without detailed info no-one can help, sorry man - you came here for advice - go with your heart! Welcome new addictee...
  3. and LA will win the 2011 tour......?? If (and only if) they do win - they do not deserve it.
  4. If there are no pictures - it did not happen! Lets face it, both brakes failing at the same time is not something you would consider when leaving the house. Congrats to HS for 'picking' that up.
  5. Captain Plant - that you? Good luck with your dilemma. Another spin... You are in 100th place 45mins up on your "usual time" = better seeding, better starting group (possibly less congestion) in the next race. *note: not applicable to who is normally near the podium. SO why do people say; no - who cares. This will result in an unfair (possible) advantage..... You may be the next guy infront of the guy on the single track, racing for a top ten and allow competitors to catch and tail him.... Me thinks if you steal, you steal. Good luck MJ - hope "the guy" you "are referring to" does not slow you down in the next race.....
  6. En is jou neef Bambiel??? Jy weet, die tjerrie Bamboes se boetie!
  7. ha ha ha - i know how you feel.... My first ride on the pony was 3.5km to a mates house to "do a ride from there". I nearly sold the bike the same day! Strongs bro - Just keep peddling..... U'll be there in no time.
  8. Mase-harre! Hectic - glad she will be ok! Sounds like one of those "i caught a feesh thiiiiiiiisssssss beeg!".
  9. Mrs Lady-girl in the picture there must have helped catch it (trust me - you want a partner helping when they go over 1.5m) - but the point is all the guys are freaking out.....!!! IF (and only IF) you must - grab the blunt end and move backwards (quickly) - she will not be able to turn and bite. GOOD LUCK EDIT: This is where the partner comes in... to grab the sharp end and the reason YOU grabbed the blunt end. ANOTHER warning: their poop stinks big time....
  10. Except you! Would love to see Mrs Squier reply to this........ Cycling is interfering with you raising plants, let alone kids!
  11. And the brightspark in the back row assured the CEO it was a good idea to employ the Durex engineer - he had plenty of flexible ideas!!
  12. Ill give you 1.5k for the bike and you can go get yourself something a little more suited to your ambitions.... Where you based? PM me if you are interested.
  13. New Rule: Contracting HIV / Aids in order to loose weight and win the comp is blatant cheating and you will be disqualified.
  14. Messenger feel's as though he fell for the 'Drive Dry' campaign - and spend a night or two in prison with Mr "Im looking for someone to care for" Month off the bike, new saddle and one or two (million) new rocks in Groenies , but the warm fuzzy feeling when going to GK is still the same!
  15. Would love to spent as much time alone with him as he spent "alone" with her. Fair is fair! Well done guys! Wish the ENTIRE country would do the same, every day... I certainly would!
  16. I used to go there twice a year for work until 3 years back. Never took a bike - running shoes take up a wee bit less space, so cannot comment on the trails, BUT even if there is not a single bike trail, it is still worth taking your bike - you will find somewhere to ride. Absolutely awesome area to ride, great scenery. Do not miss out on the opportunity to take your bike.
  17. Bwahahahahahaaaaa!!!! I think i just wet myself - look i am a HUGE fan of the food, but for very good reasons - i avoid before a race! by race i dont mean racist, well if im racing, im a nevermind - you know what i mean.....
  18. Steven69 - now that we know how you came across The Hub, maybe it is time to share how you 'came across' your Hub name... 69??? Or should we be spared the details....
  19. Ha ha ha - ill take the flack that comes from this.... At work, an 'old timer' burst out into uncontrollable laughter and promptly proceeded to have the entire male population in the office do the "Gay Test" which someone had referred another fellow Hubber to when he was being a bit soft.... (you get the picture). We all did the test and compared notes, I beat him in the test but it was funny. Anyone remeber the test? Have the link - Start the thread again??? Only spent about 3 months on then till work got the better of me and had to sign up again...(i could not even remember my logon name ofter like 2 years of being "lost") But what is NB is im back and loving it!
  20. Damn!! A 50kg bike up a hill. Can you imagine the amount of complaining from some of the peeps around here (no names)!!! What a ledge! And on a KTM, hum, nice!
  21. Max speed: But are you sure you only ate a steak?
  22. Gummi - your bike is in a puddle! Oh well, happy place i suppose.....
  23. Copyright: You owe me money!!! No but seriously, thats a nice bike!
  24. The link is FAKE!!! I can't click on the link to buy one.. Please update the link!
  25. I still cannot understand why all (read some) of the peepols endorsing the "Think Bike" brand are breaking the rules of the road. As a rule in most cases. I support it 100%, but for the life of me cannot understand their thinking.....
