Generally the bike is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. But seriously with such scant info, who would be willing to go out on a limb? Start with its condition and possibly year. Pic? Anything else about the bike which will assist in the determination? Extras?

Man its a tough one! I cannot prove ownership of my bike... Especially not when i am out on a ride - so what is the point of even asking? You asked me, i'd tell you to eff-off..... It makes my flippen mad (specially when they have liberated and now "own" a nicer bike than mine!!!)

Is you must decide between those - Silverback (and water off a ducks back when the laanies tell you SB is not kewl - their opinions are mostly affected by price (and this should not be of concern to you in the price class you are starting off)). Otherwise - there are many other great deals in that range - could even go for a well spec'ed older model still in stock - might be able to talk yourself into a great bargain (with 2008/09's clour scheme, but so what!)
