  1. Cute dog You going to come to the track meeting on the 16th at Bellville or even the meeting next Tuesday evening would be good to snap some evidence photos
  2. All RAPHA gear is sub-zero cool, no debate. The chavy helmet is Lacoste and therefore, uncool. Pantani (aka style guru) should confirm.
  3. Squirt but the build up is mildy irritating. I've just got some Pedros stuff that look better for the commute bike, MTB and wet conditions.
  4. Front/side/back of the jersey (Gary Ing, Rob Pewter and Johann Dekker) Shorts in the centre modelled by the ex-captain elect Craig Wicker with Craig Gerber and Kosie Loubsher on either side. In formation from the back (early on with a full team) Kosie Loubsher and Craig Gerber (sporting the only white fronted jersey)
  5. Any truth in the rumour of puff adders being introduced into Tokai forest? Should make for interesting dog walking and provided the intention is to curb the rampant MTBer population, I'm all for it
  6. Agree 100%

  8. Yes, Stringbean has some dodgy (don't ask) 11-28 Shimano cluster on his racing wheels and they seem to work fine with his SRAM Red.
  9. Interesting' date=' what team were you riding for? If you read the rules around support vehicles you would know that each team was only allow one vehicle.. Nice going, good way to ruin the event for everyone else. SUPPORT / SECONDARY VEHICLES: ? Teams are allowed to have ONE support vehicle. The registration number of this vehicle must be given to the organisers by the team captain when collecting the event packs at registration. Teams will be disqualified should they have more than one, or any unofficial support vehicles.[/quote'] Chill out dude, it was a tongue in cheek comment in light of the fact that our backup went AWOL for 165km. Luckily for us the Total garage in Ashton had semi-palatable water to see us through to Bonnievale
  10. I've said it already but the shorts with the imported shammy are crazy comfy. I've never had a pair of local shorts before that can compete with the best the Swiss and Italians have to offer.
  11. After an intial ride in the shorts (with imported shammy), I decided to do the DC on them. All I can say is WOW!!! This is the first pair of shorts after my Assos's to be able to throw on and ride a big ride in them. There was a minor sizing issue with the medium tops, so I had to loan my white-centred top out. Once again, thanks. You guys rock!!! Just imagine what you could do if you had power!!!
  12. Need new kit for your club/team? look no further, herein lies your answer...... I can't begin to sing these guys praises enough. Stephen Fowler did an outstanding job using a crumby photo and a hacked image to produce a absolutely stunning kit design for our CYCLESdirect DC/racing teams. After a million (it seems) incarnations, production got underway and these guys worked tirelessly to deliver as promised on the first big order in time for this weekends DC. If anyone is thinking of getting their club/team kit designed look no further. Roberto is always willing to go the extra mile and Stephen should be getting paid big bucks (even bigger than what he's getting now). Antonella is always helpful and on the ball. The fabrics are great and the printing first class. The imported chamois feels outstanding and must have at a small premium which along with the wet look, they feel better than Assos's. Thanks a lot guys and look forward to dealing with you guys for a long time. http://www.pandasport.co.za/
  13. You got oranges Where's da f*&%#$%g phone
  14. Oh, and one other thing. Train on clinchers, race on TUBBIES
  15. bontrager aeolus : not keen on the whole fairing thing, although the Cosmics I had where solid but heavy, full carbon rim is better I believe. zipp 404 's: had a pair to race on and loved them. Light and strong although they were not as stiff as my Dura Ace deep sections. The free wheel was a little soft with plenty of bite marks after racing on them. campag' bora ultra's: these are a lot for dosh for you cash and I suspect there are much better wheel for less money. If you have money to blow, go for these or even Obermeyers. Dura Ace carbon deep sections: added to the list cause these are the wheels I currently race on. Not quite a light as the Zipp's but way stiffer. Profile is simple like the boras but these have been reviewed to be the best performer on average across all aspects of a carbon deep section wheelsets. Good luck.
  16. Chill out dude, time to get with DC fever. Sure you'll love it
  17. There's a bike in that picture
  18. Kinda like NeoTel last year....
  19. Rabobanks new ride.... http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v347/19/43/1194312846/n1194312846_30177651_2412.jpgShortLegs2008-11-01 09:39:02
  20. And Ronelle can confirm you're in every photo and every photo you look slick
  21. Never use gels in training but always in racing. I generally have 1 half way and then a second about half an hour before the finish. I always use an energy drink (Staminade Endure from Muscle Science lately). However, if the race is easy or I'm cruising to the finish then I don't bother and save the gels for the next race.
