  1. Get Stoked has spares. Depends on the model you are looking for, but have a look on this link: Brake Accessories & Spares - Get Stoked
  2. This is a pity. I rode there just after lockdown. It was a really nice loop with a bit of everything
  3. Spray the post with a bit of water before you start cutting and a couple times during cutting. This collects the carbon dust and stops it floating about
  4. I can assure anyone reading this thread that the Top Fuel and Spark are fun bikes, regardless of weight. I'm sure the Titan is fun as well, but I feel the geometry of the Cyphers is a generation behind the Spark and the Top Fuel.
  5. I'd rather go for the Trek if I was you. I've owned the new Spark and I still have a Top Fuel. The Spark has very basic components. The SX/NX gears are terrible compared the Deore that comes on the Trek. The Judy fork is a noodle and don't get me started on the evils of the integrated cable routing on the Spark. Twinlock is, in my opinion, a band aid for suspension that has not been designed properly. Having said that, it is a very nice bike to ride if you're not going to be hitting anything steep or challenging. If I was you, I'd try and squeeze for the Top Fuel 7, which is on sale now. It has a very good groupset, proper sturdy wheels, good brakes, a very good rear shock and a decent fork. It is a bike that can grow with you and help you progress. IMO it just needs a fox 34 or Rockshox Pike and some Deore brake levers and it would be perfect
  6. After some of the shenanigans I saw at the Amohela Classic on the weekend, I'd suggest that skills and vasbyt are far more important than the weight of your bicycle
  7. Can I ask where you got the groupset from?
  8. Basically there is one trail up the mountain and 5 back down to the bottom. Nothing too sketchy IMO and everything is rideable with a dropper post being recommended. There was an older guy there who did everything on a 26" MTB with no dropper and less than 100mm of front travel, If you are looking for a venue for an outride there are better options. We did 1000 meters of elevation in 24km, so you earn your thrills
  9. Vergenoeg Enduro Trails
  10. Is that a dropper post in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?
  11. B'Sorah trails this morning
  12. Mpumalanga Enduro Series Round 1
  13. I have a pair. Drop me a PM
  14. Sounds like you are looking for an endocrinologist
  15. Virtual shifting can work with a standard cassette. Just shift to the 14t cog and go
  16. Low balling is what happens when you still wear boxers after turning 50.
  17. Never assume the handlebar width markings are correct or even the same on either side of a handlebar. Just checked my 3 Burgtec bars and all 3 had different centre to outside edge measurements in spite of all being cut to the indicated 780mm
  18. Been considering getting them myself. How did you get them over here?
  19. Holy thread revival Batman
  20. 1280GS834609B1/380000017 GIANT DROPOUT KIT 142x12 THRU AXLE IRIS BRANDS (dragons.co.za) Listed on the Giant SA distributor site. @Giant Bicycles South Africa can you help?
  21. As Droo noted, the headset routing is a pain in the rear. The headset bearing on the 910 I briefly owned started to show signs of corrosion after less than a month as there is nothing stopping water getting to it. I also found the rear shock bottomed really easily and there was no provision for volume spacers in the Fox shock on that bike. Other than those issues it rode very nicely.
  22. All three are great options for what you are looking for. Maybe another one to consider is the Trek Top Fuel. bikenetwork did a review on the Titan recently and posted a long term review of the Trek.
  23. Exactly as Robbie says. That bike has a 460mm reach, which is more in the realm of a size M these days. For reference I am 175cm and my size M Ibis is the same size as that Trek (reach wise). It could work for you, but may feel a bit cramped. A proper ride would be needed to see if you end up with any aches and pains which could indicate a substandard fit
  24. Just cause the size chart says it is right, doesn't mean it will work for you
