  1. I've made my contribution. Good luck Fire and keep us posted!
  2. Hayley, I would suggest going to see a Dr. My boss also had a shoulder injury and the symptoms were the exact same as my grade 2 rotator cuff tear, but he had actually torn the tendon off his shoulder somewhere. If he had gone to a physio, he would've done more damage to his shoulder. It's best to confirm the exact problem before trying to solve it, and then accidentally treat the wrong problem.
  3. I received a torn rotator cuff injury at the 24hr race at Oak Valley last year. Went for physio, and biokineticist afterwards. Still struggle occasionally with it, especially when it gets cold.
  4. Anyone but you!
  5. I won't be joining this weekend, but I'm definitely keen to join rides in the future! Nice initiative
  6. +1 Waiting for payday. I've gone to Fire for sports massage and she's a great person, she deserves all the help we can provide
  7. Thanks, I'll check it out
  8. Miss Barbara seems to be in to chicks as well... I also received a special email!
  9. What is the embark crew?
  10. As The Crow posted, I'd rather go for the neon green or fluorescent yellow. I'd rather be seen than try to make a fashion statement.
  11. I'm glad to hear about this. I've been stalked online and know others that the same has happened to, and after going to the police there was no recourse because I wasn't being threatened physically. So if the perp does contact me again, then I at least have something that I could potentially fall back on - whether it is actually enforced though is another story all together.
  12. Mr Agteros and other fellow Hubbers, I've been extremely busy with work. And it's now starting to take me in to 4+ hours to do the results every month. Which is in a way good, because we have so many people that have joined the challenges, and are STILL joining the challenges. But I unfortunately cannot sit until 2am at the end of the month entering in the data when it is available online for everyone. So Ăf anyone wants to take over entering in the data, feel free, I can give them all my spreadsheets. But otherwise I propose we just run the challenges until the end of the year. Don't get me wrong, I will gladly set up the challenges each year because I think it's a great motivator! So go out there and keep exercising!
  13. It would seem that our data also goes back to January...
  14. I actually think that riding when it is dark out with a bright light, I'm far more visible to motorists. They are more likely to slow down and give me a wider berth when passing me.
  15. i'm going to start commuting again on Monday... so you need to watch out!
  16. My definition of what a commute on your bicycle is, is any distance travelled between your place of residence and your place of work. This is just a friendly competition to see how you stack up against everyone else here on the Hub, so no policing really. Unless someone wants to offer a sizable purse for the winner?
  17. It is starting again tonight
  18. Thanks for the heads up! I fixed it
  19. The new challenges have been created! Here's the fred: https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/125329-the-hubsa-endomondo-challenges-2013/ I'm still on vacation so will get the official 2012 stats up soon!
  20. Hi Guys and Gals, After great anticipation, here are the Hub Challenges for 2013 that have been created for Hubbers on Endomondo. All the Challenges are based on most km's attained covering all the disciplines that are present on The Hub, one Challenge for the most km's in ALL sports, and one Challenge for the most time spent in ALL sports. Road: http://www.endomondo.com/challenges/8070466 MTB: http://www.endomondo.com/challenges/8070476 Commuting: http://www.endomondo.com/challenges/8070451 Running: http://www.endomondo.com/challenges/8070423 Swimming: http://www.endomondo.com/challenges/8070436 Most KM's: http://www.endomondo.com/challenges/8070401 Most Time: http://www.endomondo.com/challenges/8070391 Other software users (aka Strava, MapMyRun, Garmin Connect, etc): If you send me your stats at the end of the month, I can include the data when I do the postings. Just send me a PM and we can work out the logistics. Some FAQ's: You can join the challenges at any time throughout the year. It takes in to account workouts posted between 1 January 2013 through 31 December 2013. It is up to you regarding whether you want to log your cycling workouts as either commuting, road biking, or mountain biking. These challenges are for fun and we are not policing your workouts. Good luck!
  21. Haha... Definitely not for sale!
  22. Here's my baby! On the couch: Enjoying the sun:
  23. This is what it says on their site: With your Garmin device, you’ll earn points in the fitness category if you exercise at a specific intensity, for a specific time.
