  1. I think you dont quite understand him properly then, because he actually is following a ketogenic diet. He is in a constant state of nutritional ketosis. And stop saying HE is wrong. It is really not about him, but about the ketogenic lifestyle wordwide and the science and art of it. High fat diets (and it depends on what your definition of "high" is) is not bad, as long as you eat adequate (not high ) protein , with low carbs from mostly leafy vegatables. Thats the basis. There is a lot more to it, buts a start.
  2. You might like to research Tim Noakes 's background and read properly all his writings before you want to make a comment like that. Further, Tim Noakes is only trying to make popular a diet lifestyle that is quickly making headway in the rest of the world. It is funny, before 1965, it was actually recognized that a high carbohydrate makes you fat ! Big business had other plans in the interim though.
  3. How much grams of carbs did you eat per day ? IF it was more than 20 grams and less than 2 weeks required for the adaption period, you did it wrong .
  4. Andre Greipel vs Robert Forstemann
  5. A great event as always. Robertson, small town, big heart ! 763 total entries. Must admit was scared of all the mud beforehand and carrying a slight knee injury, only entered the 29km race, after doing the 42 km the previous 2 years. To my surprise the course was not really muddy at all and the times show that the mud, if any, did not really slow the riders down compared to last year. It was quite cold though and a bit more warm water would have been really nice at the end. Went for shower and enjoyed about 15 seconds of warm water before it abrubtly ran out ! Otherwise nice atmosphere and enjoyed the wine as well . Even got some Red Bull from the ladies walking around and handing them out ...must have looked like i needed one ...
  6. I hate to ask this again, but where is the Google Earth route and profile ?
  7. Was more interested in the Surfing swimsuit issue video ad that caught my eye to the right ... Now, that is something for the eyes !!
  8. It does not help complaining to you Admin ! I have complained various times to you concerning Tumbleweed's actions, PM's and sense of "Godness" on this forum. You always take his side or just say " I'll look into it " with nothing ever being done. I'm glad that finally other people are also starting to complain and see the true facts.
  9. Eishh ! Same problem last year as well. Would have thought they would invest in some more bandwidth and faster servers ....
  10. They were only 11 min behind at this time. My heart goes out for them !
  11. Yes, if only i know how to post it proper !
  12. Pic I took this morning at WP 3.
  13. You make some good points and I think I agree with you here. I know that stage they rode today and train on it some times. Not many, if any, other riders ride there. Sharp rock edges, many thorns etc. What I can't understand is that when DG switched his back wheel at the 3rd waterpoint, they were only 11/12 min behind. What happened from there to double their deficit?
  14. This is interesting. Are you sure of this? Any public sources to confirm this legislation?
  15. This is something I'd like to know too please. Matt ?
  16. What is the weight of that rigid carbon fork of yours? Did you consider other options? I have a Trigon 26" carbon rigid fork that weights just under 500 grams .
  17. Good points, however, I think people sometimes get all worked up too much about genetically modified plants like corn and soya. We as humans are genetically modifying ALL the time and so are plants and other animals naturally ...
  18. Ok, you made your point. No go and ride off your excess of Christmas lunch and then go attend to your cows !
  19. Some very good point you make here.
  20. Isn't hormones a natural substance ? Are ALL hormones bad? Why would the mere fact of the existence of hormones (ANY) in milk be bad ? The majority of the posters on this forum's hormone levels are way higher than normal !
  21. This type of advice can only come from an engineer. Simple, effective and economic !
  22. I can vouch for them too.
  23. You might check inside. It happens sometimes that a piece of metal breaks off inside causing the cable to get stuck or the shifting to be difficult.
