  1. Well seeing that its Friday. I compared my scale to the Revolt's geometry and it seems like to Revolt will be more comfortable than my scale, twitchy but more comfortable with the higher stack and shorter reach.
  2. Wow how bikes have changed in the past 10 years. Don’t mind me just just squeezing in 2.2s in the back of my 2014 Scott scale. Gravel bikes are really starting to blur the lines between what is considered a mountain bike and a gravel bike.
  3. As a man of stats myself I would be very interested in this information
  4. Here is an example of a carbon Titan switch built up with the new Shimano 105 12 Speed Groupo. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/gravel-bikes/755843/titan-switch-carbon-xl Sad I missed out in this deal Is there a limit on chainring sizes for the gravel bikes?
  5. Following this post with an eagle eye. I “need” one as well. How about the Giant Revolt Advance? It has 53mm clearance and they look very cool.
  6. Too soon to ask when the seedings will be updated?
  7. Oh wow now im digging through my contacts to find someone flying from the UK to South Africa
  8. Ah but doesn’t the enjoyment lie in the fact that you put in time prepping for the race, getting your nutrition sorted and on the day leaving it all out on the course? Crossing the line KNOWING you had nothing left in the tank and getting the dopamine rush from the realization of what you accomplished today?
  9. My PR from a few years back is still haunting me at 3:01.
  10. How does one get into the & group, do you need a racing license? or would a 1A seeding be the safer option when chasing a sub 3 purely looking at group size?
  11. Well done. Today was my 9th and I have the same goal to hit that sub 3 number on my 10th.
  12. Very impulsive decision to enter last night. Most unfit I’ve been for the joyride world championships so let’s see how far muscle memory and carbs can bring me😅
  13. Someone with a shimano 10 speed road shifter laying around? My Ultegra shifters are starting to miss shifts down where it just doesn’t click
  14. Shot thank you, I didn’t even think about temu yet. Let me do some googling as well. The more I think about it the more the frame bag sounds like a win
  15. Ah the joy of leaving your jocks at home, what an uncomfortable day in a pair of jeans. Yeah the HT is what I have, I am looking for a cheapish gravel bike but for now I'll have to do with what I have.
  16. The plan is to leave my extra set of vellies at work and then I should be able to leave my laptop at work as well. I am on a hardtail but not really space to mount anything on the bike
  17. Hi everyone, Any tips on bags that you use for commuting? Space for some shoes, laptop, clothes ? Then durable and somewhat waterproof?
  18. Wow he is so close to that silver
  19. Any updates on the podium?
  20. Bra don't get me started. I use that site at least every 2 weeks as I go down my illogical dream bike rabbit hole, may it be gravel, road, MTB or even monstercross
  21. This is after 3000km about. Is this normal or a defect?
  22. Hi Everyone, Any idea of how long these tyres last? Friend of mine have been using the Schwalbe indoor for the past 10 months. Let's say 1 hour a day three days a week. It starter developing bubble, Is this too soon or expected?
  23. Ah that would be the dream if one could cycle from Durbanville all the way to city center and be safe. A few years ago I cycled from Table view to waterfront as a student for about two months. All along the my city route. Looking back, it was definitely ignorance and youthful immortality thinking, but wow what a dream it was. There is just a different enjoyment to cycling too and from work, your brain just switches off. Most days I would arrive home not remembering what happened along the road. I would go as far as to say I would pay money to do that again if it means it would be safe.
  24. This I would say is your best option, shimano 12 speed. Set and forget about the gears, cheap to maintain. Rockshox air for the win and the bike looks cool.
