  1. Here is a link confirming it, it will work with the HG-700 cassette as well https://cyclingtips.com/2018/03/shimano-ultegra-hg-800-11-34t-cassette-review/
  2. If you get the 11-34 cassette then it will work on a 10 speed freehub body. The spacing might be too far apart for you but then you don't have to machine it. GCN mentioned it a while back on one of their videos????
  3. Tsek I'll show you redneck, wil jy banie?
  4. Wow congrats, very curious to see the bike in person. Hopefully I'll see you on the Stellenbosch trails soon????
  5. But sub 3? Strava bragging rights all that…
  6. I’m sitting with the same challenge, tested positive for Covid in July and got my vaccine the past week. some of my family still tested positive after about 2 months since they had Covid even though they were as health easy can be.
  7. So if I understand it correctly I do not count as being vaccinated if I got vaccinated 20 days before the event?
  8. I’ll leave it on for about 5000km's and invoice them at R3 a km in marketing fees.
  9. As a few guys pointed out, a lot of it could have been resolved if you just gave each other a call. There are few things I enjoy as much as chatting some ball with a potential buyer/seller. You get a feel for the oke immediately.
  10. Yes I wasn't sure about the tektro brakes as well. I know they use the normal Shimano brake pads as well. I got the female version of the bike for my mother in law and was really impressed by it. For the price it's a really good deal. Yes the rims on the giant is tubeless ready but you don't get tubeless tyres. I guess the Giant and trek would work out to the same price if you do the tubeless conversion on the Giant. I'm in Stellenbosch and I'm sure I can organize a better deal on the Talon bike for you around here. You are welcome to send me a private message.
  11. I would say go for the Talon 0, if you ask the right places you can get one for around R15600. It's according to me better value for money with the shimano 12 speed. You have more range, that 10 tooth sprocket makes a big difference. The shifting on the shimano stuff is set and forget. With the SRAM stuff it can be more iffy. Both has a air fork so that is a win but you'll probably get the Giant at a better price,
  12. Another note, will some of you with your Dutch heritage please share your eternal wisdom on how to remain dry and cosy in a race like yesterday?
  13. I learnt my lesson from 2019 K2C as well, I’m one of the okes that pulled the princess card seeing that I wasn't that cosy????
  14. Now our mere mortals can get excited upgrading their ultegra 10 speed to the hopefully soon to be updated 105 12 speed.
  15. Hi everyone, do any of you have a Shimano 10 speed 11-28 cassette with some life in it still laying around? And as well know where one could find a R7000 crank arm fixing bolt?
  16. Very impressed with Matt beers, what a ride.
  17. Does anyone possible have a 10 speed shimano 105 or ultegra rear Derailleur? The RD-5700 version, long cage would be a win but not needed
  18. Thank you everyone, Where would one get the SLR hoods in the picture below. Mine is as the Afrikaans man would say "gaar duif"
  19. Anyone know where I can get some of these headset bearings in Cape Town/ Stellenbosch for my vintage Benino Iron man.
