It sounds like your Tyres are to wide for the width of your rims. For your rim width you should be looking at tyres between 2.1 and 2.25. The problem is your generalizing your bad experience with everyones experiences. Show me the data from which you could make that statement in saying more people had a bad experience than not?

I've had excellent service from them regarding emails and so on. Yes sometimes emails do fall through the cracks and that's true for most businesses. But you guys are acting like all the emails are missed.

Sounds like this has become a thread of people just complaining about their emails falling through the cracks. If you want something and they're not replying then just call them instead of just sitting there "diklip". Before 2014 you had CWC/cycle lab and Solomon cycles, with not much bargaining power on getting new kit. Now you have people like Evo bikes and Bikeaddict that one can use as well to get the best prices, it takes some effort navigating all of that but it's a hell of a lot better than a few years ago when you were just dependent on your local bike shop sorting you out.

Same here, it's crazy to think one would need to fork out R70k on their entry level carbon bike. New bike prices aren't affordable any more

Will probably not be a problem for everyone but for those a bit OCD. I was a bit disappointed to see SRAM brakes paired with the Shimano XT/SLX drivetrain. Then a Rockshox SID fork paired with a X-Fusion rear shock. I'll 100% admit that I am being critical but I guess one does buy a new bike based on what it looks like as well. I looked at the bike in a shop and the XL version came in at around 13.8 kg and I think that is a good weight for the spec level. Looks like a fun bike but would have loved the Shimano brakes and Rockshox rear shock like the Cypher elite Carbon

You don't have to spend 2k on a new hub, you can get the deore Microspline hub for R700

I would say go Shimano, the wear and tear parts are cheaper to replace in the future. As said earlier the Shimano Cassettes has a better spacing between the gears so you'll climb more comfortably between the 45 and 51 cogs. Then as mentioned by Nick, the Shimano chain and Cassettes work best together, especially shifting under load. I've had my SLX/XT setup for more than a year now and it's really been a joy riding.

Just keep in mind there is a shortage of bike parts throughout the country and world. And bikeaddict has always given me good service.
