  1. Any opinions on the Onza Aquila 29x2.4 Trail Tire? Keen to try them. Will fit front and back.
  2. Last year I did the "add to quote" thing on three different occasions. After about 3 weeks (no joke) I got a reply on one of my queries asking if I was helped. Their online store is a joke. They should rather have a promotions leaflet than have a catalogue with guideline prices. Easy to operate inventory systems are available and should be used by all shops claiming to be online stores. Their deals are however great and they have a nice range of stock. I would love to be able to shop there. But I won't until they drop the stupid add to quote thing. Or their new "back-order" form.
  3. Super nice! Please armchair experts, buy the super light components and beat his build.
  4. I love Spaz riding gear but there is no chance in hell I would spend that on shorts. Even if I was filthy rich.
  5. I have the Flow MK3 on Hope from CWC. Awesome bombproof wheelset. Heavy. And the spokes are bloudraad. Will buy again considering the price.
  6. Rather go for the Maxxis Ardenf Race. The Crossmark is outdated and offers no benefit over an Ardent Race.
  7. As soon as I get lucky in the Lotto I am buying the green one.
  8. You either have a manufacturing error or something is abrading your chain. Check every tooth on your cassette and chainring for sharp edges.
  9. Now there is no excuse to fit SRAM NX or SX to any bike, ever. Such a pity SRAM has the OEM market cornered, their budget components are terrible.
  10. I had one pack for lockdown and finished that on Friday.
  11. Anyone else using Lockdown as a nice quit-smoking strategy?
  12. Titan is upping their game! I think I am buying one of these.
  13. Not sure if this is applicable but I had a fork that sunk into its travel. The reason was that the positive and negative airspring did not equalize properly. There is a little air channel that is responsible for equalizing. You might also be losing air between the two chambers due to poor sealing. Check if everything in the air-spring side is completely clean. Fork Grease like SRAM butter can block these airways.
  14. I would also urge people to rather skip NX Eagle. Save for GX or go Shimano SLX.
  15. 2 entjies en 'n koppie koffie
  16. Guilty as charged on being slow. At least I have very comfy tire pressures.
  17. To need those pressure you are probably very fast or extremely un-smooth. The EWS guys run those pressures.
  18. I purposefully stated around
  19. I have found that nothing has a bigger effect on riding comfort than tyre pressure. I try to go as soft as is practical. My current setup: 29mm internal rims (FLOW MK3) Front: DHF 29x2.5WT EXO - 1.4bar (20.3 psi) Rear: DHR 29x2.4WT EXO - 1.5 - 1.6bar (22-23 psi) With these pressures my tires get those diagonal lines which are typically from tyre squirm. They only burp (I don't really feel it that much on other trails) on extreme high g-force berms like at G-Spot. My mass is around 86kg with riding kit. As mentioned tyre pressure also has a knock-on effect on your required suspension rebound setting! I have a Specialized Stumpjumper 2019 and basically followed the Bike Setup Tool on their website. Which I found was an extremely good base setting. I am on the lower end of their suggested tyre pressures. PS: I measure tyre pressure with a Topeak digital gauge (floor pumps can be way out!)
  20. Status Quo is perfect for windy days!
  21. Great company overall.
  22. LOL, typo. It's above the limit of the Park Tool CC-2.
  23. SRAM NX Eagle Chain at 1% after 1400km (or less). Cassette also moertoe according to bikeshop. Par for the course for SRAM stuff...
