  1. Fatigued! I've done (read: watched) the spring classics, cobbled classics, ardennes, il Giro, Le Tour as well as the Olympics. So, I'm going to listen to the coach (aka minister of home affairs) and take a break (eye-ball rest). That way I can come back (well rested and) strong for the World Champs and the final Monument later this year. 😊😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  2. That looks a lot like the water dispenser my supplier in China manufactures, with his biggest market being the middle east. We buy the 2-tap verson, but with some minor cosmetic differences (the shelf/drip tray is indented into the machine to save space in the container and no loose parts requiring installation).
  3. In NZ https://www.facebook.com/share/r/pGnKaoEdfafqyXsN/?mibextid=UalRPS
  4. A similar thing happens with me, and occasionally the left lane (of 2-3) is open enough for a car to fit in. I then drive at the same speed as the car in the “fast” lane. Traffic is “heavy” and everyone moving at the same speed. Said headlight flasher is then forced to drive at the same speed as both of us. They then flash the car in front of them, but he can’t move left because both lanes are full.
  5. Not me, yet... still have a good number of 10Km (1000m) rides to get through. 🤪
  6. Seems people (in cars) think they know the rules of the road; but they don't. A couple years ago, on a business trip to The Netherlands, we're standing at the pedestrian (zebra) crossing waiting to cross. A car stops, then hoots, because we weren't walking. While it's a rule in this country, I'd struggle to find car (in Gauteng) that actaully adhere's to this rule. So habit is that we (pedestrians) wait for cars instead of the other way round. On honeymoon in Knysna (almost 20 years ago) I failed to yield to people at a pedestrian crossing; I realised my own bad habit a few seconds later, as it's been like that in Gauteng for as long as I've had my licence (if not longer). Don't get me started on a traffic circle... makes my blood boil every time someone stops in the circle to let someone, who should be yielding, in. While looking for the (law) wording on this, I found something else that is not adhered to, called hit-n-run.
  7. Use the free 25Km from Zwift if it's 1 or 2 rides a month. I manage to get 3-4 rides up the Ventop route, when doing interval training (depending on the workout). The last ride goes beyond 25Km, then simply ends when it ends.
  8. Perhaps include the weight weenie that refuses to buy an e-bike. I'm sure he will appreciate the savings.
  9. Looked now, and there’s an earphone jack (the round type) as opposed to the lightning type jack on wired iOS earphones. Two steps forward on the left and one step back on the other side. 😂🤦‍♂️
  10. “It never gets easier, you just go faster” Greg Lemond I know you weren’t racing, but this next one is semi-related: “The race always hurts. Expect it to hurt. You don’t train so it doesn’t hurt. You train so you can tolerate it.”Anonymous
  11. Look at the gender split, and you’ll see 22 of their medals are in the female category. The men have only won 9 of the 33.
  12. MacBook Air’s don’t have any USB ports and no ethernet port. Only two USB-C ports. So not possible to have a wired connection.
  13. I had a problem on a free ride, also using IndieVelo on MacOS. The difference between Zwift and IndieVelo is local vs server side connection. When Zwift loses connection, the riders around you disappear and you remain connected to the world you’re in, whereas IndieVelo completely loses all connection.
  14. That was a fantastic finale (the route) that would be a fitting stage on the Tour.
  15. To add to this; if this is on, and the dual recording is something one does, switch it off here: https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/edge530/EN-US/GUID-4A11E0FF-E539-412E-B959-1E709CFF63A3.html
  16. Check your firmware version. Current version is 1.5.5 (for the Core). The previous two updates added automatic calibration. https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000217839-KICKR-CORE-Firmware-Release-Notes
  17. We spoke about two years ago, briefly, as he was looking for information on the race my club hosted. My one and only engagement with Tim, was a positive one. RIP
  18. 8x WC wins in XCO. 2x XCO overall winner. A few medals at XCO world champs (silver and bronze, IIRC, but can’t remember if it was junior or senior level).
  19. It lists the current domestic teams, so could mean he’s not on a registered team.
  20. In IndieVelo the settings are like this. Look for trainer settings or similar:
  21. Check if you’re on ERG mode. That keeps the power set at a specific level, eg. 200W. Uphill, downhill or flat, you’ll be doing 200W. There should be a free ride option.
  22. It can be uploaded before Tuesday of the following week, to qualify for the active rewards.
  23. It's in the SE corner of the reserve, with the wind blowing from the SW, so it's currently limited to the far left (as you look towards the reserve). Lots of burnt areas on the flatter section between the hills and the R550.
