  1. Hope he (Kamp) is riding SRAM, I heard those derailleurs are almost bulletproof.
  2. David from Intervals.icu posted, today, about a training site he’s integrating with, called Biketerra. It integrates with your Intervals calendar, which means any workout for today and a few days in the future will show up. It is also web-based, so no download or special device required. it has a free version, as well as a $5 early bird option that allows your own custom routes. i’m doing today’s workout now, as I type… on a climb near Nice. 3. On our club ride yesterday, we saw “cycle race in progress” signs on the old route.
  4. Can’t remember what Remco’s power was, but wasn’t even close to Pogačar’s 900+ W attack. Very surprising.
  5. I can’t remember when last I only had to take a shirt, shorts and socks out the riding gear drawer; and sunscreen.
  6. Summer is back… at 09:30. Still have 27km to go. Coffee stop, then the 27km that was still outstanding to complete the monthly 100-miler.
  7. Just a reminder that the final monument of the year takes place tomorrow... il Lombardia Live on Sporza.be from 10:30 Not sure about other streaming sites.
  8. Strava AI clearly can’t workout that I’ve logged an activity every day, since 13/12/2023. And it can’t see that the average speed is down because the vertical gain is increasing.
  9. 👍 Riding makes me happy too
  10. Those are amateur numbers pappie… 16W/Kg, for 20-mins, is the new impossible. My Garmin does lie.
  11. Was… 😂
  12. https://ridejoburg.co.za/batch-change-form.html Link to request a batch start change. Your seeding is in the portal, so if you haven't registered, you will need to do so, tosee your details (under my events).
  13. I see you replied to me, about the year model, but further down replied to the OP (who isn’t me). Anyway, I don’t have a wheel problem on the gravel/CX bike, as I have two road bikes that fit the need for road riding. I do have a wheel problem on my MTB, which I’m addressing soon. I bought the TCX purely because it was a bargain price, and allowed me to see if it’s worth investing (bikes are an investment?) in a better gravel bike without wasting money on what could be a gimmick. My opinion, for someone that likes to ride fast (not always racing), is that a carbon MTB (HT) is as good as, if not more comfortable than, a gravel bike. Narrower tyres might make it a little quicker than as a traditional 2.2-2.35 wide tyre setup, but it will look as bad as a gravel bike with skinny road wheels. If it fits the purpose, who cares.
  14. My TCX has 700x40C tyres (haven't changedsince buying about a year ago (2017 model). It has enough clearance (pre-mud) to fit 42c. The rim shows 622-19 (SX2), so the question would be "what the optimal tyre width and pressure be, relative the rim width". The sidewall shows min 2.0-3.5 bar, so I go about mid-point (non-tubeless setup). Shows how serious I am about riding gravel 😁
  15. Shows VE. I'm not licensed for 2024, and I entered the open category, not racing Vets.
  16. Same thing Brinjal vs Egg Plant vs Aubergine or Pavement vs Sidewalk
  17. Let them take their time and do a proper job, than send out a prelim seeding that just causes unnecessary panic.
  18. You'd think the guys doing Paris Tours has been doing gravel, based on the amount of mud on their kit and bikes.
  19. Will Canyon carry on being a top selling gravel bike? If it's good enough for the new WC... 😁
  20. Power smoothing is the average of 3s, meaning less variation on the display. It doesn’t smooth your actual power, only the displayed power.
  21. Keyboard shortcuts. https://thezommunique.com/2023/06/19/indievelo-keyboard-shortcuts/
  22. Some pretty scenery in Belgium. Sporza doesn't allow screenshots, so hard to share. Eventually found the UCI website was showing it, too.
  23. ERG more only works in a workout mode. I ride with the pacers 2-3 times per week. My default setting is Terrain (matches world), and only lose the group when I’m not concentrating. Try ride a little harder than the group pace, so you close the gap gradually. Have a look at your recent effort (colour bar at bottom of screen) and try not go more than one colour up, eg. if you were in grey, don’t go to green. If blue, don’t go into yellow. You will eventually close the gap. Alternatively, if you have a keyboard available, use J to join another rider. This will allow you to join the group without having to surge. You will only lose the distance between you and the place you join the group. Will show a straight line on your Strava file.
  24. Also on Sporza.be (with VPN) voor degenen die de taal begrijpen
