Will definitely be back for next year's race - hopefully on my own set of wheels. This was my first MTB race, and only the third time that I was on a MTB (off road that is). Definitely worth the money spent. Next up for me is the Shenenigan.

At that price, check that you actually get the bladder with the bag. Certain stores sell the bladder as a separate item. I haven't bought anything online without having seen it first in a shop - call me the cautious buyer. Training can help you master the skill of looking behind and maintain a straight line. Get a friend to assist... 1. Ride in a straight line, preferably on the yellow line on a road with very little or no traffic, or at one of the race tracks - Kyalami, Wesbank, Killarney, etc. 2. Get your training partner/friend to ride close behind you (but not too close). 3. At your friends call, look behind you. He must tell you how much you drift left/right. 4. Repeat until such time that you can confidently look behind without drifting. It can be done. So don't try this in traffic

Mich, hope you're keeping track of the time it takes to get to the top. That way you'll see some progress by the time you can conquer it without stopping.

Here's what I heard: A car being towed by another ran into the back of 2 or 3 cyclists. One of the cyclists was pushed/bumped into the middle of the road, and was hit (from behind) by a white Nissan Sentra travelling behind the towed vehicle.

Has anyone got any news on the condition of the cyclists knocked down close to Klipriver (just before the steps) on Saturday morning? Sad to have to hear about it, but even worse when you have to ride past an accident scene (while the EMS teams were there) and see the carnage for yourself.Frosty2007-04-23 04:31:59

And I wouldn't say that MyPicture is better either. I'm still waiting for 94.7 photo's to be delivered - the rain played havoc with my number, yet I was able to sift through the unidentified photos and identify my pics. Same goes for H2H photos.

I phoned them this morning, and they say they haven't got around to doing it. I gave them my order number, and was told it will take a few weeks. Let's wait and see... (not much I can do about it)
