  1. Looks really good but I must say for a serious outdoor and training watch wont work for me, same reason I did not get the Sapphire version as the strap just doesn't work for sport and on the bike etc.
  2. http://garmin.blogs.com/my_weblog/2015/10/now-available-fenix-3-sapphire-in-whiterose-gold-and-silverleather.html#.Vg01kvmqqko There we go now there's one for roadies as well...
  3. Had mine since May with no issues whatsoever. Even though its big its much more comfortable than my V800 to wear as I wear it all day.
  4. Always been a niner fan this takes a step away from their usual design though...dunno if I like it...yet
  5. Absolutely love it! Gotta get this guy for able ppl who park in disabled spots. It seems that my baseball bat approach to make them legit is landing me in hot water more than I care hehe
  6. Yeah same here, I have had mixed success with the short adidas pants as they are fine for gyming and even a road run but because of the amount of movement going on when you're trail running they don't work for me for that. Just went and checked at Duesouth and they have some decent Salomon ones with that lycra inner for 399. Where do you guys get just proper trail running tights? (without the short part).
  7. Trust me Anton I am so frustrated! Haven't even had time to get a magnet yet alone fit and go for a ride and not looking good for the next few days either. Hopefully on Sunday afternoon!
  8. Hehe no seriously I quite like it especially on the long rides / straights or long climbs. And using that in conjunction with Wattbike data gives you a good indication of what you are doing and should be doing. But I agree that on trail type riding it's not really of any use except for giving speed in wooded areas when GPS reception might not be so good. I just bought one to go with my Fenix3 but have not fitted it yet.
  9. Once I think yes but that was when I was lapping you....
  10. I agree, it gets really painful if they start to chafe a 1/4 of the way in. So normal shorts are a no no for me either unless if they have those tight-like inners.
  11. Check SportsmansWarehouse as well, First Ascent just launched some nice trail running kit with better prices. http://www.sportsmanswarehouse.co.za/?submit=&subcats=Y&status=A&match=all&pshort=N&pfull=N&pname=Y&pkeywords=N&search_performed=Y&q=trail&dispatch=products.search&viewall=true
  12. It's only useless if you push your bike a lot
  13. If you want the bomb shorts buy the Salomon Men's S-Lab EXO Twinskin. They are super comfortable and light. Only problem is the price tag... they are hellishly expensive as with most Salomon stuff, but in saying that I have 4 pairs of Salomon shoes, many T-shirts, running shorts, socks, caps, hydration pack etc. hehehe...shhhhhhhhh I love their stuff and really swear by it. Otherwise Asics also make some that have the inner sleeve almost light a short tight on the inside which really helps with chafing.

    Polar V800

Gymlink is the analogue way Polar uses to transmit HR so that the watch can be used while swimming since BT doesn't transmit under water. I would say to tray and unpair and pair when your missus' sensor is not closeby.

    Polar V800

Have you paired your sensor with the watch via bluetooth? It seems like this indicates that it is using Gymlink to get your heartrate like when swimming.
  16. Same here but havent found any other bugs since.
  17. faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark I think I just peed myself a little. Read Nicos take on this bike and I want one!
  18. Had a tussle with some tera firma and had to replace my Catlike Whisper.
  19. Sorry can't help you there but here is a guide which is very accurate. http://www.catlike.es/pdf/CATLIKE_Quieres-saber-cual-es-tu-talla.pdf Furthermore if you go to http://shop.lifecyclessa.co.za/you caan buy straight off there. If you see a model you like but the website says that your size is not available, call them first as they always have a few extras in stock. The whole wall of the garage was stacked with just Catlike helmets so I'm sure you will find what you 'like'
  20. Oh and this Whisper I bought for R1 329!! Awesome price better than you will get ANYWHERE!! 227 Murray Street Brooklyn, look out for the BMC gazebo on the front lawn. If you need the cell number, give me a shout.
