  1. technically none of them are black. They are all mixed races. Both Tiger and Obama had parents from different cultures and "Skin colour". I think Steve Biko, with black conciousness, was correct, "you are black because you feel oppressed" Black is an attitude not a skin colour. We are all black.
  2. Another one to the darker side. Now for the steel single speed rigid.........
  3. Now you should enter some 24 races......
  4. Now to start convincing you that you need a dual sus.
  5. at 75 kgs. mmmmmm YOur front shock should be between 100 to 120 psi (if it is a tora) Your rear shock will probably be in a similar range. Some rear shocks have a "Elestic band/washer/seal" on the piston. PUsh that up abainst the shock. Sit on the bike. get comfy. Climb off. If the shock has pushed it (the washer) more than one third of the available piston length, pump harder, if less you can chose to release some pressure. Remember to start riding with max recoil on the front shock and minimum recol on the back shoke. Once you are comfy with this then start playing with the recoil. Failure to do this will result in your bike being a bucking bronco on single track. TYre pressure. If you are tubeless pump up to the minumum recommended pressure on the side wall. (Normally around 3 to 2.5 bar). IN sand and loose rocks consider droping the pressure, on hard pack and tar, up it to the max.
  6. interesting article, however, I really think that HR needs to sit with the journalists from the rapport and beeld, and explain to then the principles of basic report writing, objectivity and completeness. Did they learn anything at journalism school (oops I forgot Grahamstown is for reoinek soetpielle only)
  7. before you start quoting road regulations ext, there are three things to take note of: firstly, much of the regulation, section 311 dealing with a bicycle is meant for commuting. ?Much of it when read makes sense except for the parts where it is obvious that there was a "lost in translation" moment such as the part you quote, where the formulators english was just not good enough to discribe what he wanted to say. ?It is obvious that you cannot obey that instruction, when stoping and starting ext. Secondly, section 311 cannot be read in isolation of the rest of the regulation. ?Read the entire regulations, and you will see that if all road users obeyed the regulation thet it would be largely possible for cyclists to commute safely. lastly, there is another section which, for the purpose of sport, time trials ext gives the MEC, or local traffic department the authority to waiver all the regulations, if the deem it necessary. So before allowing anyone to "quote" the regulation, ensure that you are able to "counter quote". ?Most of the time people are wanting to score points and not understand the regulations. ?MAny motorist are shocked by the content of the regulation, especially when they realise that they are WRONG

  11. Get real, I ride for fun, and want my fun riders back. I hate all these pseudo pro-ffession-als that think that cycling is about them
  12. I rest my case, Souf Effrikans are all FUN RIDERS. You hear me, you are all FUN RIDERS. Go pack your attitudes away. You are FUN RIDERS.

    Creatine

SOme good old advice: train hard. drink lots of water, honey and fruit juice eat biltong drink chocolate milkshakes for recovery. Eat rare steaks with chilli sauce. Eat breakfast eat pasta, with tomatoes, basil, mozzorella cheese and a touch of olive oil. (Garlic for flavour) All of the above actually work, except maybe the last one, but it is still a great, easy slap together lunch.
  14. No no no. Argus in CT and SA Champs somewhere else where there are real hills like Tzaneen, Sabie, Helpoort, Drakensburg ext.
  15. By the looks of your avatar' date=' you already have. [/quote'] nah, i need the magenta feather boa for the proper dance. wanta see that pic? No Holy no!!!!! i was asking slick! HR leave it. Rather go and play in Groenkloof with your single speed rigid.
  16. 1.It is cold and crappy everywhere CSA would want to hold it, which is normal in CT, giving the CT riders a chance. 2.The riders from Gauteng are all full of flu, giving the CT riders a chance. 3. It is during the European summer season, so the SA pro's are unavailable, giving the CT riders a chance. any other reasons?
  17. or she start acting like Puke Watson?
  18. I vote that they should have it on the SAME day as the Argus. In this way the Argus can become what it was supposed to be A FUN RIDE and SA Champs can be what it should be THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS CYCLING EVENT in SA. People chose (or even consider) Argus before SA Champs are FUN RIDERS and not serious competitive cyclists, and should give their licences back to CSA, and enjoy riding for fun. Let us sort out the difference between competitive and fun cycling once and for all.
  19. crater cruise in a tour format. When will SA have its own?
  20. If I apply for my licence, will I get the correct one by March?
