I've spoken to a road design/planning engineer recently and he siad what's the fuss about a couple of cyclist dieing on our roads, every year hundreds of people die in motor vehicle accidents ;-(

It start with education and then we need to see a change of attitude from cyclist and motorist. So I think it would be a good idea that when people write their learners licences that speicific sections be inserted in the manual with regard to how a motorist should behave when approaching cyclist and what precautionary meassures should be taken(and pedestrians- but I think that has already been covered).

RIP Burry Met Burry (I think it was 2010) after the Argus while cycling back to my vehicle up Buitengracht Street. He and his team mates where heading somewhere up Kloofnek where they stayed. The guy chatted to me like we were old friends and shared his experiences during the race with me. I think he came 5th or 6th that year. Must say what a humble and polite young man, had the utmost respect for him. It really is a great loss for cycling and a very sad day.

Well, if you have your own bussiness you will know that unless people complain about the service they are getting to management/the owner, nothing will improve as management/the owner is unaware of the problem/lack of service and therefore will not do anything about it.

Just want to say thank you to Steven of CWC who sold me a bike rack. Spent about 30min explaining to me what I should and should not do, as well as assembling it and fitting it on my vehicle. Even gave me some nice fish recipe's and tips how to braai steak Needless to say, left the shop hungry Oom Chris give that man a Bells
