  17. Cool, I did receive a free service when I purchased the bike. I tried adjusting the barrel, but that did not work. I am however reluctant to take my bike in for a service as I would not be able to cycle for 2 days :-( So I thought if some expert here on the hub can guide me what to do I could just do it myself.
  18. So I have had my new mtb for just over a month now, clocked just over 1000km and now all of a sudden my chain starts "jumping" on my lowest 2 gears- especially when I put heavy "pressure" on them. A mate of mine suggested that it might be the cables that have stretched (or as Johan B would say- the housing that has worn). It only happens in these two gears irrespective whether I am on the Big, middel or small blade in front. What do you think? And how can I correct this? Thanx Reg

The invasion of someones privacy, is definately not leka!! I know what you're going through mate, been there, done that, know the feeling- it sucks big time. Strongs for yo and the family.

  21. As a newbie to the mtb thing, I find that on these steep climbs I keep my front shock locked and it enables me to handle the bike better over the rugged terrain.
