Any advice on trailers for kids...Got the first one on its way in Sept...so pre planning/hoping for some riding. Got an e-bike and lucky to live next to my local trail. Obviously when the little Moth is older I would like to take him/her/they/them 🙃 on some fire road. (Wont tell the mother) These Thule XT trailers look good, but zero suspension. I assume it will be more of an ride on tar, far away from cars. Any thoughts? @JJ how was the first week....
  3. Slapped one on my ebike and I must say the thumb size feels great (if thats a thing ) and operates smoother than the Fox I had on. Installation was dead easy with the screw-in bolt at the button. Looks great. They could have made the thumb bit with groves to add grip , if I had to be really picky.
  4. Using Grinder to get a "Trek" is rather popular in Cape Town...????
  5. 1994 Raleigh Bomber...it ruled for many years. MTB-developing, school commute, newspaper delivery and Gravel-bike with the handlebar pointing up Used to race down Paarl DH track with one of these...broke the steering tube twice...fell my self moertoe twice... Maybe not exactly for the topic but it deserves some credit.
  6. Rather Bold of them....I assume someone stole their Swiss neighbour's blue prints. Even the decals are on the same place. Still a really nice looking Bold, ag sorry Scott
  7. as mentioned, to do 40km you will need to do a few laps, but because its so much fun, that wont be a problem. https://www.trailforks.com/region/banhoek-conservancy-trails-26521/ I would suggest going up the Bethlehem ascent , drop in to Klipwerf downhill line, then run all the way down with " Cobra" to the fence and then climb back up again....Do the Sky traverse over to Duiwelskloof...turn left at the end of the traverse and follow the Dig Bos connector trail back.....when you reach the Oak trees, follow the jeep track to Elevator Climb and go up to the Start of afterburner. Trail signs are not that great yet, however you will find plenty riders there over the weekend to help show you the way. Explore and have fun! It could be that the trail is closed due to the heavy rains...

  9. Nah, after these idiots started there Scam, I try to keep my buying and selling for when I am home. If I see something lekke, I ask a fellow hubber to buy it on my behalf. Worked well so far. Only once I had to send fotos to a seller and explain I am legit... Plus I shared live whatsapp location with him... Anyway atleast my reviews are good, so that helps.
  10. Yes, friendly guy. Please send my regards, Its really sad that you never got to enjoy the bike that was promised ... Next time
  11. As I sit here, I am onboard a Drillship , drilling offshore Angola.....I can assure you that the position of "Petroleum Engineer" does not exist and in my 20 years at sea, I have never heard of this position/rank. Secondly we have the same internet access as onshore (slower), so no funny excuses for making payments. I use my bank app daily, Snapscan, Zapper the lot. Any stupid excuse when it comes to payments must always be seen as a potential scam.
  13. Lots of different Virtual Events out there at the moment - haven't seen ones which follow a specific route though. Very cool! Looking forward to this!!!
  14. Hitting the tree, my handlebar went straight into my zeb... Got a ring to it!
  15. ....While Zeb is a common Urdu name, in Arabic it is a slang reference to the male genitals and not used in polite conversation.... besides that, looks cool!
  16. Was expecting that, seeing that they have thousand of tourist visiting every day...???? You have a higher chance of getting bitten by a Puff-adder than catching Corona from a Protea. Jokes aside, if it keeps the staff safe than cool.
  17. https://mxalliance.co.za They have a good selection...and quicker than amazone
  18. Had both...Liked the XTR more...but, went against all, and got me a set of MT7 Pro Magura. Hands down the best set I have ever owned. Don't take me wrong, to center 8 individual pads is not easy, but when you do, they are really that good.
  19. Hi, Moving to Lincoln Nebraska and I want to take my two dogs over. Anyone done this before... USA rules are that the dogs only need a Rabies injection and the other deworming....no quarantine I got a Quotes from petPort in JHB...not cheap but worth it... Any tips or good agents you can recommend?
  20. Rubber broom...all that works. My GSD sheds like crazy. Bought an expnsive vacuum cleaner that can suck a Golf ball through a garden hose...but his hair block the pipe to quickly...Rubber broom and elbow grease all that works for me.
  21. https://www.bicyclebluebook.com/searchbikes.aspx Try this guide I see its already been posted...

  23. Again, this just piss me off cause as I am sitting typing here, I am working on a offshore installation in Brazil. Been doing this for over 17years. I have sold a few items when I am not at home, but Luckily I have a Hubber friend with very good rating to assist with shipping etc. As said in the other treads, rate the idiots.
  24. Use Duncan Road inside the Port. They will let you in at the gate with a bike. (if not, tel them you work in the shipyard at Quay 500 or something) Enter at the bottom of Christian Barnard road. If that gate is closed, just go down toward CTICC and take the first right, to the next gate.
