  1. Did you need to change your derraileur and what size deraileur cage do you ride with?
  2. Giant as all manaufacturers only warranty the frame and not the components. If you read the conditions attached to the warranty you will notice that the warranty only extends to suppying the frame and that any further cost (ie shipping cost) will be for your account.
  3. You are able to get the type 2 in either a xo or x9. X9 sleightly heavier but half the price of xo
  4. Yes a guide should work, but you want to simplify the whole drivetrain and the wolf component chainring has slighty bigger teeth to overcome chainslipping.
  5. For those of you wandering what the conversion is about - see attached link http://www.pinkbike.com/news/General-Lee-Wide-range-Cassette-Adapter-First-Look-2013.html
  6. Thinking of switching from a 2x 10 to a 1x 10. Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has done the Leonardi cluster conversion.
  7. servicing of lefty is a bitch as service intervals are not only shorter but fewer people around that are able to do it. Had Sid on my previous bike and it was one of the plushest forks i have ever ridden.
  8. Is this a sign that delivery is going to be problematic too?
  9. Where do we place orders?

  11. You cant expect to even get close to what you paid for it no matter what upgrades. Be realistic as a potential buyer can get a fairly decent new bike for 22K.
  12. They are not conducting an enterprise in the RSA thus SARS wont require that they register. VAT are essentially imposed on all goods or services consumed in the republic and therefore you as importer will have to pay VAT on all imports. You will however be able to claim back the VAT paid if you are conducting a business and in course of business import stuff. If not you are the end consumer and have to bear the brunt of paying and supporting this great country
  13. Ali G imitation on MTB'ing
  14. Unfortunately that's life, one moment you think that you have struck a bargain only to go somewhere else the next day to find the same product cheaper. On the odd occassion you do however find it to be more expensive as well and that my friend is the wheel of life
  15. Go boy go, Left Contador for dead!
  16. Have no fear; unlikely to run out and if you do it won't matter because you will be on the biggest downhill youve ever been
  17. agree with Armpies; check chainlength ( I had to remove 4 links) - have not had a day's problems since fitting my X9 type 2 six months ago.
  18. Try Johan Borman ( Yellow Saddle) or Buy Cycle, they both deal with International Trade.
  19. Sweet, count me in. Personally I feel that variety is the spice of live. It is high time that eestablish more bikeparks
  20. Nie 'nngeval va raa as die hanger gebuig is nie maar eerder regbuig of vervanging van die hanger

  22. Polaris works for my XLarge Tallboy
  23. Works for me, has various subscriptions at 1/3 of the normal retail price. Groupon normally offers a discount subscription at beginning of every year. Only downside is copying/ printing of some articles and fact that you cannot exchance pass on to a friend once you done with reading
  24. Cant go wrong with Mavic's. When I build my Tallboy i opted for the Mavic C29's, only option available at the time. Have since ridden the SLX (mate of mine chose them) and although they are lighter and more blingy, I would personally recomend the SL or even C29's, better value for money
