  1. Look to side of tool, should be a screw which when turned loosens chainbreaker from tool and allows you to use allen key to turn chainbreaker screw
  2. Put me down for one of those blue jobbies above ;-)
  3. Bruce Reynecke Cycles in Pta. Stockist of all three models of Tallboy's (29 er) as well as other 26' models.
  4. I use Evertrail and after my ride upload my trips on the internet. From there i can export /import the gpx files to my garmin I can likewise export/import routes to my iphone from the Evertrial website.
  5. says who :-)
  6. Nope - the law of Transvaal applies, ask me, I know
  7. Rather late than never, but yeah well done
  8. Most bike racks have a weight limit - so the weight of the 4 bikes together becomes an issue. • Bosal has an excellent rack but it only caters for 2 bikes - they are not prepared to stake their reputation on a rack carrying more than 2 bikes/30kg. • Thule does have racks, good ones, catering for 3-4 bikes, tight squeeze though and expensive • I think Buzz rack also caters for 3 -4 bikes • Check out the following website and speak to Barry www.rackandcarry.co.za personaly, i would stick to the trialer
  9. Had hoped that cuddles would do as he promised - attack in the mountains but that now seems like pie in the sky, (pun not intended). Had it not been for teamorders and Froome being in the same team I doubt if nigly Wiggi would have had the advantage which he currently enjoys. I agree, whether it be Armstrong or Contador - they would have led an attack notwithstanding their lead.
  10. Difficult to describe, best i can do is to say that when you are out there pushing yourself it is not the competing but the feeling of being one with the bike forgetting about all else and just concentrating on the moment, the freedom and that feeling of experiencing true Nirvana
  11. Wind was really pumping today together with that lose sand made the going quite tricky at times but otherwise very enjoyable outing
  12. Much better map than the previous one which they had. Does not show any new routes. However, it still reamins a nice place to ride in.
  13. There is a bit of arrogance in all of us, more so if you accomplished what he did. I actually enjoy the side show. Rahther that than the alternative where someone actually wins the TdF only to be disqualified for doping. As long as he does not deride his fellow competitors I say "jolly good show old chap"
  14. I initially ran a 42/28 setup on my Tallboy and after some knee discomfort switched to a 39/26 setup which for me seems to work better. Matter of Trial and error, depending on the type of riding you do. If your riding consist of mostly flat terrain with no huge mountains I would recomend the 42/28 setup whereas if mountains come into the equation I would rather opt for a 39/26setup. I have noticed that on the 2X10 Shimano and Sram's ratio's differ - worth looking into
  15. Much easier to unscrew valve and use a big syringe fitted with a tube over valve body, no fuss or mess. Top up in less than 30 seconds

  17. Has to be the same team members as this year - you can do a substition later once you have gained an entry. Also double check the following - age of both participants (tend to default to today's date) and number of events completed
  18. Voetsole werk net so goed Seriaas, afhangende van jou sak sal ek Magura of Formula ook aanbeveel
  19. - how true we all tend to forget that ultimately it comnes down to the pedalling. Burry Stander, Kevin Evans etc, although they would have preferred something else, would do equally well no matter what groupset
  20. Tried Sidi's, Shimano but found that this shoe fits my broad feet the best. Cant go wrong, be careful of import duty if you buy from Evans, could work out more than what they cost locally
  21. Bummer, we all dread that happening to us. Hope you retrieve it
  22. Nothing wrong with Sram. Read somewhere that, carwise, you always tend to support the brand of your first car if it didnt give you hazzles, suppose it is the same with gruppos. I myself prefer Shimano for my road bike and Sram for mtb
  23. Problem with Rock shock 29' is that you are restricted to 100mm travel. Ok if you are only intending to do marathon type riding but for more technical riding i would up for longer adjustable travel
  24. Go figure, maybe someone should sue the cellphone company who sold him the phone which was used to track his route.
  25. Forgot to add - go for through axle fork option as it makes for stiffer front.
