  3. Depending on amount of damages Two options - litigation is expensive, their insurance unlikely to pay as he did not have a license therefore try to negotiate with mommy & daddy. Second option lodge a claim in small claims court and do case yourself no lawyers allowed on either side Good luck, glad you ok
  4. Pardon my ignorance - Thaba Toughee? where is it situated?
  5. Had gripshift on my previous bike (9spd) - never looked back. Like the man said - easier and quicker shifting. and it also frees up clutter on your handlebar. When I upgraded to new bike (10spd) Gripshift was not out as yet. Will however wait for the price to come down first.
  6. Geax is a great tyre but I am also disappointed in the wear of my Aka. Ride Sanguoro at front and Aka/Barro on the back. Rode my Aka until the knobleys were nearly entirely gone on the top. Guess approx 1000km in total. Found the Barro Race to be more durable on the back
  7. I weigh 100kg and ride on 1.6Bar. Suggest that you experiment like Sometime suggested above. Take your usual riding trail and begin with 1.8 and drop it over the same trial over several rides, is however important to use the same gauge in order to get an accurate feel as gauges differ substantially.
  8. Cosmetic damage, should not interfere with the internal workings of th fork. Have no fear - still safe to ride
  9. if the frame is fake I would question whether the parts are genuine as well.
  10. Have you tried putting on some carbon paste on the seatpost - worked for me on my Tallboy
  11. Money down the drain if you ask me - would not even consider pusuing it if it was me. Sure way to get burnt
  12. Hi Corbie, i have a XL which i would like toswap for XXL. I know it does not help you, but it would help me.
  13. Most sceptics eventually come round once they have experienced the joy's of a 29er
  14. Use a Polaris bike case myself - low weight and not as expensive as some of the other cases. Fits my XL 29er if you unscrew handles (@stem), derailler from frame & pedals. SAA also stil allows 20kg free for bicycles. Mango may do so as well, dont know. BA and Kulula however does not provide any free carraige for bicycles.
  15. With this kind of service it is no wonder they have managed to stay in business for so long
  16. Not that I am one for prejudging people & events but I sincerely hope that this has a positive outcome in that it leads to better safety, not just for cyclist, on our roads.

  22. Hans Snijckers - Pta East - 012 8075695. He is not one for cutting unnecessarily. Sorted me and i am back on my bike after 4 mnths

  24. Only really going to need it on day 2. Mind you, if humidity is high the extra juice may come in handy
  25. A bit peefed myself. Recently noticed scuffmarks on my stanchions. Need to replace crown & steerer on my fox 29' . Rather opting for new Fox Talas - kashima coating is supposed to help prevent this isue. Suppose will have to wait and see
