  1. I have seen that same deal but with 2 1.5Ah batteries instead of 1x 2Ah, worth googling for anyone that may prefer 2 of the smaller batteries vs 1 2ah.
  2. From what I have read the Ingco are one of the best budget brands. Bosch has dropped their cordless drill prices so much lately if you look for specials, often at Makro and Builders, you can get Bosch blue for just about that price and Bosch knocks Ingco out the park.
  3. Unless you need to drill lots of large holes or into concrete an impact driver wins hands down. You do get drill bits with hex shafts to use in impact drivers, I have a few and they work great. For me the only negative with an impact driver is the noise, the impacts make a very loud tack-tack-tack sound but that's the only drawback.
  4. Easy bike has the gun for R199, very good price: https://www.easybike.co.za/finish-line-grease-gun.html I have the Pedro's one which is pretty much the same, advantage over a syringe is you can pump the grease at far greater pressure and it's easier on the hands. But that being said a syringe does work really well though.
  5. I recognise that make [emoji10]Super sketchy Chinese shop brand, but they do make some ok stuff from time to time, price normally awesome and if it works it works.
  6. What I like about 2hnd shops is you often find some really obscure tools and brands, or really old stuff that was made supremely well and just needs a buff and a little love.
  7. What makes it so much better than the normal cheapies you get?
  8. Unless you are using them commercially (and even then probably very little difference) Blue vs Red Gedore is a moot point, I have Gedore red ratcheting spanners and the quality is top shelf.
  9. Rectangular vehicle floor mats work great, you get the ones with deep tread and light tread. The deep ones are nice for taking things apart because the tread catches all the little parts and stops them from rolling away. They are also easy to pick up and then empty the accumulated dirt in the bin or outside. Checkers in the bigger stores with an automotive section has some nice light tread ones that were also the cheapest I could find , Midas also has a few variations.
  10. I went and bought a few canisters at their Stellenbosch Devon Place branch, the KL Ballistol Pfeffer KO Spray Jet, it's actually 50ml not 40ml like I previously posted. R69 is a bargain of note and it works like crazy, I test sprayed some onto a wall and as I was walking away I got a whiff, it caught me in the back of the throat like muth fuga. Ballistol is an old school German company you can rely on, their spray will be 100% legit, not fong kong looking like some of the pepper sprays I've seen for sale.
  11. Ah sorry does that set come with a JIS size #1 Phillips driver in it?
  12. It is still available and way cheaper, R69 for 40ml: https://safarioutdoor.co.za/shooting/pepper-spray-ballistol-jet-50-ml-g00111909.html
  13. Wow Sabre has got expensive, almost R300 for a dinky 22ml cannister, it is very good though. A cheaper and also good brand is Pfeffer KO Jet by Balistol, same guys that make the famous Balistol gun oil, I used to see it at gun shops, haven't seen it around recently though.
  14. What brand of Pepper spray is best and not just going by their marketing blurbs?
  15. Those are probably good screwdrivers but there's no phillips type (JIS pattern obviously) driver in the set and that's really where the real magic of having a JIS screwdriver is at. Japanese brand Vessel make some very nice JIS screwdriver sets, I have seen a few of their tools for sale in SA but not the JIS stuff.
  16. The smallness is the advantage, the day will come when you use it in a tight space and it's a life saver. Do you have a link for that? Those sets are amazing, it's quite hard to find a quality set with a huge range like that and especially the slim shaft long bits are great, good quality as well. I eventually found a seller in Japan on eBay, parcel never arrived though due to Sapo You can get nice sets on Amazon so an option is to add a set when when you or someone you know orders something there.
  17. That's actually brings up an interesting question, how much did the op "save" by buying the bike 2hnd, what would it have cost him new? R60k is not a whole lot in new bike prices, around R180k seems to be where the high end tops out these days.
  18. The problem with Rikus losing R2000 is then he won't make as much profit(he claims otherwise but we know better [emoji10]) and that is not acceptable.
  19. Nope the dude is just paying lip service now, the fire needs to be kept stoked [emoji10]
  20. That's a good price, those little sets are invaluable, most top notch tool brands make a similar set but they can get very pricey.
  21. Is that for a full set of Park Tool JIS screwdrivers? JIS are very difficult to find in SA and with some kit they are vital to prevent stripping screw heads. They are widely used on photographic equipment.
  22. What the hell!? Is that what you say when you sell something and it arrives with defects that were not disclosed and were clearly there before it was sent, "sorry bro, sold as is, lol" Your logic is way out, how did the classifieds function before Bike Hub Pay arrived? Did every one screw everyone over... sorry man I can see the frame I sold you has a small crack and the fork is a 650B not 29er but too bad.... as is It's called having integrity and the majority of hubbers have it(you included I'm assuming) and that is the reason why the classifieds has been working just fine. I'm assuming by a huge margin most deals go down without a hitch.
  23. I don't know, any one well versed in bikes can give a bike a good looking over, though ideally taking it to a bike mechanic you trust would probably be first prize. It's more a matter of time because to be thorough you need to first get the bike spotlessly clean, then do a meticulous visual inspection, then test what mechanical stuff can be tested on the bike stand and then a solid road test which could be another hour or 2. The basis for all of this really is trust, you trust that the seller sold you the stuff with good intentions and will be reasonable if something that is obviously faulty crops up.
  24. No matter what price an item is sold at it is no excuse to missrepresent it or fob off damaged goods. If it's sold as X in clean condition and good working order then it must arrive as X in clean condition and good working order. Common sense.
