  1. You find a lot of people extolling the virtue of either soft sand running with sprints until you're ready to die / vomit or hard climbing with repeated sprints until you're ready to die / vomit. Obviously the actual method is far more scientific but essentially you need to want to die, be about to die, pass out or vomit with your ticker hammering like wood pecker on new wood. Might get sports science to do a test rather!
  2. I was thinking about sourcing a Magic Mary / Rock Razor as a good trail combo. Anyone had any experience of this in Cape conditions? Have heard the Razor is a bit light weight and loses it's side block pretty fast. Been very happy with the Bronson / Wolv' combo. Am about to swap out for a bit a change with a MK front and NN rear because they have been knocking about in the stock pile since the 26'r armageddon started and hell, why not.
  3. and... I am an idiot. I happily bought the rings, checking the BCD, fine, they fit Shimano, awesome. Only thing that like a chop I forgot that I punted my Shimano cranks some 14 months ago for a beast of an FSA SLK chain set which runs a 110 BCD. I went from super excited to sobbing in seconds. I'm blaming my new born and sleep deprivation. O'symetrics... coming this afternoon to a classifieds near you! http://www.quickmeme.com/img/61/612c2a41963c779a0477c6d5b91959a36ab2b351d9d117f19564d04fc63127c7.jpg
  4. The Rudys also come with a scratch replacement scheme and you get replacements for a nice, healthy discount. I love mine, keep an eye on the sponsors section for nice offers and discounts. Support those that support us!
  5. Will let you know that are at the mercy of the Post office but should be here this week. Just in time to be my excuse if the argus doesn't pan out exactly how I want
  6. Let see what these are like for a laugh... http://www.bike24.com/i/p/0/8/63480_00_d.jpg
  7. Depends on what kind of fabric you're after and quality of the shirts. To be fair we've used alot of different guys over the last few years for clients and it's horses for courses with fabric, quality and budget. Many @ Anatomic though has always been spot on and they have some new euro style fabrics in now that are pretty sweet.
  8. Anatomic / Enjoy / Sub House (do a lot of the printing for other companies) / Panda / Ftech in fact there are heaps and there were a fair few threads on this around this time last year. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/135097-custom-jerseys/?hl=%2Bcustom+%2Bjerseys&do=findComment&comment=2180744 https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/130866-custom-cycling-kits/page-2?hl=%2Bcustom+%2Bjerseys&do=findComment&comment=2057660 https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/100026-custom-cyling-kit/?hl=%2Bcustom+%2Bjerseys
  9. Errrr... the Argus doesn't exactly have many 'hills' in pro terms. He also won Milan San Remo and that has a few bumps in it including the Cipressa and Poggio.
  10. Might actually not ride to watch that at the finish line...
  11. Why not just put their names on the back? Maybe because that really would look like a Newcastle Strip!
  12. That is just a nuts amount of events! There must be money in them there stage races. Wonder how many sell out?
  13. They actually came with the deal but I get my WTB fix from 'droo @ Stoke in CT. Great guys, good prices.
  14. New hoops with a bit of WTB action front and rear. Wolverine and Bronson combo, tubeless and ready to rock (once i get the rear QR adapter kit!). http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb10437859/p4pb10437859.jpg
  15. 4.6. Nice.... that is some decent width right there. What's it going onto?

    Baggies

This is THE reason baggies are out there. http://fcdn.mtbr.com/attachments/apparel-protection/800716d1369070712-your-worst-gear-tones.jpg

    Baggies

These will be my next pair for sure... if I don't get my hands on the unwanted Enduras that the OP has...

    Baggies

I hear you there. Love the lycra for the road but it's got to be baggies (for my riding) when you hit the dirt. I don't do long distances though, more trail riding so they work wonder to save the lycra when you're getting snagged by trees, crashing, digging stuff plus knee pads just look freaky paired with back to back lycra. Did a google image search for 'Mountain bike shorts' and there wasn't a piece of lycra to be seen... just sayin'. Now sell me those darn shorts!

    Baggies

They are useless, give them to me and I'll dispose of them, like a lot of others lining up here. Love baggies and those enduras are some of the best out there, used to be under rated until they won about every group test going again and again! As Jonny said, it's an XC country with big distances, races, big lycra and biggest consumption of 29rs in the world. Horses for courses. As for what you wear with them... what ever you like. I run normal cycling jerseys, tshirts, overseas people are addicted to plaid and checks. It's not a fashion show but just steer clear of wife beaters and tap outs... never those.
  22. Is this Jozi based?wonder what the options are for this kind of thing / trials stuff down in CT.
  23. What's the RRP on these?
