  1. Challenge accepted, just want to get Trap de Val out of the way ... πŸ€ͺ
  2. Sad I missed it, look like an awesome ride.
  3. IAW flippen WHEELS !!!! .... πŸ€ͺπŸ˜‚
  4. Amen !!!
  5. Is it only me or is the official Giro website very pathetic? They take for ever to update and the data/info is not presented very well. During the time trial as an example, a third party site I found was much better (also not great) in updating and presenting the data. The Tour's site is always not bad and not nearly as crappy as the Giro's.
  6. I guess its better to exit on a high than risking him plunging down the order .... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  7. Its sad news, I would have preferred if Primoz beat him fair & square on the road ... ☺️
  8. I find this very strange. Never had these getting loose on me. If properly torque should not come loose without those.
  9. Also made that mistake a few years ago, caught my thumb, took for ever to grow the nail back ... πŸ™ˆ

Not over the terrain we normally ride, only thing to make you faster on that is blood & sweat. With the modern geometry however it will help me on the tech stuff giving more confidence and hence going faster. It also got UDH so I can go direct mount DR in future. I am still on the fence though to pull the trigger or not ...

    Cervelo MTB

I'm seriously considering this, with some component upgrades, much closer to a realistic budget ... 😊 https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/dual-suspension-bikes/637017/pre-owned-merida-ninety-six-rc5000-l-bm8355

    Cervelo MTB

Clearly taste differ πŸ€ͺ, I like the Blur type design (very similar also to Rocky Element) and hence also like this Cervelo. Probably going to be k@k expensive like everything else these days ....
  15. I agree with you. The only thing I can fault Cav on is that with his experience he should know to stay off the white lines, BUT in the heat of the moment thats something that can easily be missed πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  16. Was it Cav's own fault that he fell? How do you guys see it?
  17. Yip, get the installer to fix it or money back.
  18. Agree, however, in my case specifically I still think it can be linked to loosing to much NaCl during exercise. I do like to push myself harder than most, but after almost all my sessions your can literally wipe the salt of me. My gloves, headband, helmet liners, shirt, bib etc always show plenty salt lines as it dry down. For me, it must be a combination of pushing too hard and sweating like a pig .... πŸ€ͺ PS: During my Comrades years my training was always "perfect" according to the experts and yet I still got cramps towards the end.
  19. I'm so glad now my car had a tow bar when I bought it and its working 100% on all connections so far ... πŸ™ˆ Good luck @Meg85
  20. I did Comrades 5 times long ago and went for Bill Rowan 3 of those 5 times but unfortunately never made it due to bad cramps in the last 20km. My projections indicated it should be no problem (41min for 10km, 92min for 21km, and 3:27 for 42km). I'm just one of those people that sweat to much and its very difficult to replace enough Na and other electrolytes and hence the cramps. I recently discovered 32Gi Cramp Assault, where was these suckers when I was still running, work 200% for me to combat the cramps with long rides on the MTB.
  21. Maybe possible to repair, but I would not trust it.
  22. I'm going to stick to the Rapide rim. I asked Wayne to use washers, hopefully that help a bit. Will ride like that only until he get 30mm stock (rider limit 105kg) and then swap wheels between my 2 bikes. My 2nd bike is a rigid MTB that I only use on the road, so the 25mm should be fine on there. Thanks for your help & advice.
  23. Thanks Nick, do you maybe know the weights of these 3 rims?
  24. @nick_the_wheelbuilder can you please assist. I used 25mm 28 hole Rapide rims for more than a year with lots of distance on them. My rear wheel pulled a spoke through the rim over the weekend, rim cracked. The rider limit on them is stated at 90kg and I'm a bit over at 96kg. Until this failure I was very happy with these rims but now that I need to replace I was wondering if I should replace with the same or rather go for Race Face ARC offset at double the price. I am in the process of loosing weight and the Rapide rims are excellent value for money. So, please recommend, should I stay on the Rapide rims or rather go with the Race Face?
  25. Nope, that's deliberate so that no one park near to him and ding his precious .... πŸ€ͺπŸ˜‚
