  1. R200 for a micrometer, wow that's cheap, I will go make a turn at Adendorfs then . Even though my digital Vernier is also perfect for that job .... πŸ™ˆ
  2. πŸ‘ Agree 100% on all accounts ...
  3. Thanks for this info. So what's the time frame for adapting the UDH details in your frames in future? My RM frame is a 2013 model and I'm looking to upgrade for a while now. My "wish list": 1.) Must be Relatively light weight. Cypher is OK-ish. 2.) Must be modern geometry with a nice slack head angle - Check for the Cypher 3.) Must take 2 water bottles in the front triangle - Check for the Cypher 4.) Nice to have is a good looking color scheme, look like there is enough options on the Cypher. 5.) Must be UDH ready, just for in case I can convince myself to empty the bank to buy a SRAM direct mount DR in future .... πŸ€ͺπŸ˜‚ So 4/5 not bad .... .
  4. Lots of rocks and tech stuff at Thaba, so best to use more durable tyres. I don't see any rain forecasted for Alberton until the weekend so he should be good on "dry weather" tyres. To be honest, I'm a poor tech rider so Thaba is not one of my favorite places, but good luck to him ☺️.
  5. If you were closer there is many up here that can help you set your gears perfectly. Hopefully you will find someone down there that's reliable to assist. I always do mine myself, its really not rocket science if you know the basics.
  6. Can anyone please tell me from what year model is the Titan Cypher carbon frame UDH compatible?

Agree, it was so disappointing and unfortunate for Wout to puncture at exactly the wrong moment ... πŸ˜ͺ. Very sad as a big Wout fan !!!
  8. When I still had a XT DR (now on GX AXS) on my bike I always had the clutch on for off-road and it does make a difference. If not serviced regularly however, it will negatively influence shifting.
  9. I never thought that would be a part that's prone to breaking .... πŸ™ˆ

Ja ... I will rather tackle that with my MTB or my rigid gravelish bike, but for sure not on a road bike with my fat arse .... πŸ€ͺ🀣
  11. Ideal for that Sun Valley road ...
  12. The Cycle Hub at Rietvlei doesn't exist anymore. They are now at Thaba trails, 101 Kliprivier Drive, Mulbarton.
  13. I also made that same oopsie earlier but did correct it ... 😊
  14. Agree it is certainly a beaut !!!!
  15. Simply because of cost, I don't want any of those, Current GX AXS is more than good enough for me .... πŸ€ͺ
  16. Maybe lets rather wait for the OP to clarify. @ttona33 ? I'm leaning towards agreeing with @Steady Spin.
  17. That's not 100% clear then, "New AXS availability", most would assume he is referring to the new UDH direct mount ... But maybe its just me making a bad assumption .... πŸ€ͺ
  18. Cant see clearly from the photo, but that look like the current XX1 AXS and not the new direct mount design.
  19. Or as in my case a complete mix and working like a charm: Cassette: Garbaruk 12 speed microspline Chain: Shimano XTR 12 speed Derailleur & Shifter: SRAM GX AXS 😊😁
  20. I'm glad you find your match , enjoy !!! Edit: Please post some photos of your new ride.
  21. If and when a GX version becomes available, hopefully it would be sort of affordable to us mere mortals. I anyway need to get a new frame (UDH "ready"), my 2013 RM Element frame is not going to cut it .... πŸ˜’ For now I'm simply enjoying my "old" GX AXS thoroughly .... 😊
  22. I'm 186 so in between L & XL. Both my bikes are L, I prefer it over XL. Obviously going to differ from brand to brand.
