  1. Agree, we getting ripped off, plain & simple. But this is not on tyres only, this is on anything bicycle related. On the other hand, as been said by others here, we allow this to happen by being willing to pay the high prices, and yes I'm guilty AF on this also .... 🙈
  2. Thanks, just a stupid question, why did you make it in 2 pieces? Wouldn't a simple one piece "pulley" type part do the job?
  3. If your print is a success, may I order one from you please?
  4. I also had a 26" with dual control levers, I used to love them, but they completely disappeared, seems like I was the only one liking them 😒
  5. I still say chuck it, not worth the risk & your safety.
  6. Agree, gooi weg, you will have endless issues with it. Exact same thing happened to me in the past, only tyre & rim was moer toe.
  7. As far as I understand its to keep the chain in place when transporting or anytime the rear wheel is out, preventing the chain from hanging loose and slapping around.
  8. Wow, that's a very neat trick, never saw that before. Will use it for sure.
  9. In principle I see no reason for it not to work. I would not mind having one of those available when working on the bike or even transporting with the rear wheel out.
  10. Glad you calmed down a bit. I did a lot of buy & sell on the hub and was scammed only one time, unfortunately the scum is everywhere and **** happens .... . I did get a warning from admin but unfortunately it was too late ... All we can do is be cautious and a bit suspicious until proven otherwise and report to admin, dis mar net hoe dit is ! As you rightly admitted 9/10 was an over reaction.
  11. SRAM introduced it, Shimano will perfect it .... 🤪🤣😂
  12. I don't have the bucks for them but the Santa Cruz reserve carbon wheels look pretty indestructible with a life time warranty, just saying .... 🤪😁 Edit:
  13. That sound like a AXS derailleur? You get a tool with it to set the B-Screw. Chain must be on the second largest gear and then you use the "tool/template" on the largest gear to adjust the b screw correctly. Its really easy, google for a video if in doubt. Edit:
  14. 👍I wanted a spare and was not prepared to pay the std R1.5k price. Found one here on the hub still in its original packaging, so brand new 🙂.
  15. In my mind its just plain decency, if you holding up anyone in any scenario, MAKE SPACE for them to pass.
  16. Nope, AXS battery is R1500 .... 🙈. I managed to get a used-new one a few weeks ago for R900.
  17. Yip, as a team they were simply not up for the challenge.
  18. The bigger issue for me is, is the biked stored/sleeping in that largest gear? That will make the derailleur spring go "pap" in no time. Edit: Always store your bike with the chain on the smallest (10 or 11 teeth) gear.
  19. Then I completely missed that. Wonder how much time that cost them and what was the impact on the race ... I was under the impression, unlike last year with all the punctures, their only issues was that Andri simply couldn't keep up.
  20. Hugh, I don't recall this ??? Egger & Baum (probably cost them the race) had a derailleur issue, not Nino .... 🤷‍♂️
  21. I got a 1.5 deg slack-r on my 2013 RM frame (very un-slack) and it does make a big difference. Stick with the Methanol, much more capable bike imho.
  22. AGREE 100%. Been there done that on Comrades, the finish is much more important than taking any risks. If the back markers annoy you, get fit & good enough to be ahead of them, simple as that. That being said, on the bike I am one of those technically challenged people, hence will never do a race were the skills required is above my pay grade.
  23. That would be a team thats very hard to beat. Wout know how to handle a bike but not sure how much he done MTB before .... 🤷‍♂️
  24. I think he ride himself to pieces also sometimes, he knows no other way ... 🙈
  25. So sad !!! So basically if the same doesnt happen to the other teams tom, its more or less game over for both of those teams 🙁. Hopefully we see a moerse fight between the Scott & Specialized teams 🤗
