Giving my tickets away if anyone needs 2 road tickets. Batch for the replacement will not stay the same as mine, so you wont be able to bounce your way from a bad seeding to a better one with these in batch R

No, its not because of the poor event admin either, but I will be out of the country over the race period and therefore will not need them

Does anybody know whether the gate at SBR is opening at 06:00 by now? I tried to phone but the number does not work.

I think they are still on 7am, was there a few weeks back.  I might be wrong but I think they only change to 6am on 1 Nov.

No probs, glad you sorted it out bud.
in my very humble opinion on SRAM I would say the product/s in general is made pretty sub standard. I constantly need to fiddle with my brand new battery charger as well.

Both the batteries and charger are very pricey imho.  Sure once fully charged, the batteries last long but not sure why its so pricey compared to other batteries & chargers .... 🤷‍♂️

  4. I have an issue with my AXS battery charger.  I have 2 batteries and its doing the same thing with both.  The orange light comes on for a short while and then goes off, nothing else ... 😒

How/Where do I get it fixed?  It should still be under warranty.

Edit:  Never mind, it look like the USB port on my laptop cant supply enough current.  Strange since that's where I charged it for a long time.  Its charging fine now from a different power source.

To me Anthony McCrossan is the worst commentator ever. As far as I am concerned he has no idea what he's on about.

Ever heard of a micro rest? ... me neither

    That's why I didn't say he's OK but rather "not too terrible" .... 🤪🙈😂

Edit:  I might get a lot of back-lash on this BUT, I liked Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen.  Sure sometimes they also talked a lot of k@k, but at least I could listen to them without getting very irritated.

question time, might have been in this thread already but search aint my friend here!

MTB bike is 2x10, with probably 11-34 cassette

Busted derailluer cage on a tired SRAM XX 10spd derailleur, and have a mint 2012 XO 9 speed RD in the parts bin,

the 9speed is a longer cage.

From what I can tell, both are EXACT ACTUATION ratio, so should in theory be compatible, (as i understand the cassette and the shifter obviously need to be the same speed, but the RD is more interchangeable -could be very wrong)

do I swap derailleurs and see if it works, or swap the cage rather?

actual part, let's call that plan C

It should work, give it a shot.

Edit: First swap the DR's as is and see how it work.

There have been numerous cases where over the years the GT win, has been given to a team mate. Goes back as far as LeMond.... its certainly not about everyone being a winner. Its respecting your Team mate and supporting them, for years of support they've given you. Just a thought use it dont..

And, yes, Sepp deserved the respect multiple times, helping Primoz and helping Jonas securing their wins.

Does anyone know the ins and outs on how these sensors work? Specifically the reed switch based units with a magnet on the crank and how their battery systems work?

The reason I ask is the company I work for builds automated machines and we have a need for a compact wireless sensor to monitor rotation. We couldnt find a industrial sensor small enough but being a cyclist I had the idea to use a cadence sensor. The battery life was a concern so we went and bought one and set up a test with a motor and the sensor and have had it running at 120rpm 24/7 for around 3 weeks now. We wrote a basic app on a PC to log the the signal and battery life. We are a little confused as the battery life the sensor reports seems to fluctuate a lot. It sometimes drops as low as 37% but then goes back to 100% later. Mostly it sits between 80% and 100%.

The sensor uses a standard CR2032 coin cell that isnt rechargeable. My theory is the sensor has a coil that generates a current each time the magnet passes and this charges a small internal battery. During use the sensor uses this battery and this is the battery level that is reported. The CR2023 battery is only there to power the sensor during sleep mode when not in use. Can anyone confirm this? The sensor we bought is a Giant 2 in one unit.

I'm using Polar cadence sensors for a long time now and they eventually do go flat.  I dont think there is any charging benefit from the magnet passing the sensor, it would be very cool if it was the case though.

The batteries could then potentially last "for ever".  Maybe someone with electronic background can shed some light on this for us.
