I do my best to keep my attitude and driving skills to the law. I don't run red lights, I try to never speed, I don't run orange lights. I don't sit and preach to the world cause I am not perfect but this attitude form both sides is going nowhere. I do report bad driving if they have numbers on the back of their vehicles, or if they have company names.

You guys are doing a great job at just trying to piss each other off and show who has the last laugh. A car WILL kill a cyclist. The guy posted a post and got a few good responses by telling him to go to the club involved and complain. They should then send someone to the spot in question on the weekends and find out who these guys are and strip them of their club colours. We should ALL write to the club and complain about the situation. Then they might do something about it. But no let's just keep writing posts and keep the situation at boiling point. Good work.

Nice bike. The only other "better" deal you might get is a second hand bike. Looks nice good starter bike. Just make sure there is someone in your area who can service the fork. The rest is childs play. There is nothing wrong with Schwinn frames. My2c

Specialized. They make great shoes. I am sure the suede will be fine as if it was a n issue they would have fixed it. I know several girls who have them and they have never complained so

Man that's a funny story. Lucky the cops didn't do anything to you for "wasting" their time. Believe me it is a possibility. Well done though. I think you did the right thing all round. Maybe the guy who gave it to him has claimed it stolen for insurance to get a new bike.

I second going the 29er route. I had a 2010 Specialized Epic Comp Carbon and now I ride a Bulls 29er. I have never been happier. I did the Attakwas on my new bike so I have tested it somewhat. I am also doing the Ca2c this weekend so more testing.

Good luck with stock on the Specialized. They are very bad in having any stock of anything.

I have seen it above but I also carry 2 x latex gloves. In case of blood or if I don't want to get my hands dirty. Just remember if you touch blood you can get whatever that person has.

Was it a brand new bike and chain or just new to you?

What a story. I am going to think what I would feel. Impossible really but going to try and get my head round it. Very sad for all.

I am not expert but I think carbon bikes are very strong. However I saw a guy snap his bike 2 weeks ago, so make sure his warranty is very good. The last thing one needs is to claim for a frame and they come up with excuses not to pay the poor fellow. I am sure they stress test these frames before they sell them. Be good to see what other peeps say on this. Does the Scott come with the metal insert or not?

I haven't seen them come up yet but Specialized Controls are super great. Haven't really ridden them hard in mud but all other surfaces are no issue for them. their life is maybe not as good as some but they are a quality tyre. The 2bliss is the way to go. I weigh 8o kgs and to date no issue with a single one I have ever used. Good luck with your choice and fitment.

My chip is attached to my fork and it works just fine. I was told it wouldn't but I have never been without a time when I have used it. Ok it is not inside the fork!

I have a XX and it is awesome. Probably a bit lighter than the Fox but not sure. My2c.
