I did the Epic this year and what an event. Everyone is just there and very friendly. How the hell is this going to happen? Lance appears to be a prick to me. He wants money for everything. Is he going to have a chap next to him with a till register? How is he going to show his face without getting any money for it? That is my only reason for not liking him. He is all about the dollars and not the cents!! I am prepared to say right now that his chances of winning are 0%. The race doesn't even need his support. It is fully booked from the start. However if this story is true I wish him a good race and I hope he has as much fun as I did. He just needs to state from the start he has no chance of winning or else he will leave in his helicopter straight after the race as he did with the Argus. Oh yes..... and remember to have at least 2 pages left in your passport.

Is that a 3X10 XT setup or a 3X9? I put the 3X10 X0 on as the XX is a 2X10 and I don't think I am ready for that just yet. Maybe after a year I will upgrade to the XX. Also what does your machine weigh in at? I ma going to try and get mine down to a scale today.

I think they are put there so you can put 2 bottles in easily. Without them hitting the top tube.

Going from an Epic to a 29er Bulls hardtail. I get my frame next week (I Hope). I will post on this topic once I have ridden it for a a bit. I tested their bike first and fo the 15kms I did I loved it. I know a guy who went up to 29er full sus and he says he would go 29er hardtail if he had to do it again. He is not a racing snake just a fun rider like myself. 29er Seems the way to go. Just depends on what sort of setup you want. Are test bikes not an option for you? I see lots of guys on Giant 29er's and they all swear by them. My 2c.

Also get from Bridge. They seem to have stock most of the time. Mark 2 is a helpful chap.

I use the 2bliss Captain Controll on the front and Maxxiss crossmark on the back. Both tubeless. My new 29er will be on Captain Controll front and back. Once again tubeless. It is personal choice but I have had only good use with these tyres and am very happy.

Mine does the same thing. Has been since I got it 2 years ago. It has never caused me any issues. I don't even notice it anymore. Go figure!!

Different people take different times. For a medium race distance you should warm up for about 30 minutes. For a sprint a little longer. Your warm up time sounds fine. I have a friend with the exact same situation. I personaly think there is nothing worng with your time. I don't think there is anythign you can do to speed it up!! Just my 2c.

Try using a very soapy solution on the tyre. Just like they do with cars. It might give it the lube it needs to seat properly. It worked once for me when I had a slight seating issue. Used 3 teaspoons sunlight and 1 teaspoon water. I am not sure if it will work always though..

Someone said use peacefull sleep. I was wondering in anyone had tried that.

Over the last few weeks or so the fly problem at Contermans and Hillcrest has become unbearable. Who else has this problem and does anyone have a solution. I think I have eaten about 10 of them but they are not very tasty. It is getting worse with the heat now. I have just about had enough of riding in that area. Any solutions would be very grateful.

I had one of each. The Epic is much more of a race position. 100mm travel. The Stumpy which I still have is way more fun. Relaxed riding position and as already said very good on any level. The new ones have got even more travel than the old ones. It looks like they are 130-140mm travel now. I have had many years of fun on my bike. Good choice.

Surely this is not true. If you connect the pump you would not get a reading? Only once the pressure opens it. Just doesn't sound right to me. My pump has a pin in it so when you connect it the valve will open so you can get a reading. Otherwise explain how it gives a reading when you connect the pump.

Fit and comfort is very important. I have a Specialized 2D and it is great. Very popular one!

You need to be careful here. If he has just "liberated" it there is a good chance he has a weapon. You may end up dead!! I see several people in cars that makes me question my tax money every day. It is very difficult. We all need to be careful on how we treat each other in this country. However if it has just been "liberated" and you manage to retrieve it from the unlawful owner then that is the best story. Just be careful on how you approach the said rider/walker. Well done on spotting it. I am always on the lookout for things that don't fit. Try and get the number of a local response company. These guys are pretty good at what they do and they have guns to help them in their "struggle"

Seen the Niners and they are very nice. I will have to say though I prefer the Bulls bike. It just looks the business.

Indeed that is the ali one. The one I rode is exactly the same. Frames comming in early next month. (hopefully) Just need to decide on Fork then I am pretty much in business. It is going to be my first complete build. Can't wait.

This is the complete bike. Going to get frame only and fit SRAM.

Right now that is the only thing stopping me from buying one!!!
