Sounds like they forgot to clear coat a batch of bikes. Silly mistake. I am sure the job has been re-done properly and well done to Morewood for taking it upon themselves to correct it. They shouold maybe also contact the other buyers to let them know now rather than later!

I am changing over to Marine grease. It is blue in colour and thicker than normal grease. It should hold out better than normal grease.

We didn't use a bike service shop and we were ok. There are a few guys there who look for business. We were amazed at how many repair shops were available. they travelled with the Epic so no worries. Check the Epic website I saw a few guys advertising there.

Me too. Going to go past the shop today and see what it's worth.

I used my Garminlast year with all the features on. They don't seem to check. I think if someone gets caught on the private land then they will enforce it much harder. I saw lots of guys with Garmins. Personaly I wouldn't worry too much. If you want to make 100% sure just send them a mail and see what their reply is. Just my 2c.

I have just received my copy of the "Absa Cape Epic 2010 Annual" book. What a great piece to remember the ride and the race. Just one more item to the special experience I had last year. It has some great photos and runs through the event in a little detail. It may be an expensive race but the way it is run is phenomenal and with any luck I will be doing it again in 2012.

Thanks for all the feedback. Going with the Arch's. Got some Hope hubs so going to get them built up when the rims arrive. Can't wait to get them and give them a go. It would seem the best way to go for my riding style and weight. Thanks again all.

For those in the know please help. Which is the best 29er rim from the list below. a ZTR FLOW b ZTR ARCH c ZTR CREST I am looking for reliability and weight is not of my highest concern but I don't want to buy concrete wheels. Want to run them tubleless if that helps. Thanks

It is supposed to go according to hours ridden. I don't know the exact figures but they should be sent in for a seal service every 100 hours I think, they should also change the oil around that time.

Tried locktite and no progress. Heard that it might be the chainring bolts. Going to try them today. Will also grease up the skewers. Don't think it is the headset as the noise is there even if I am not really holding on tight. Just when power is put through the crank. If anyone else has anything please let me know. Thanks

What's the difference between this and the jub jub case? They got inot their vehicles and they used them as weapons. Maybe unintentionally but none the less it is manslaughter. Why is our countries law system so useless? It seems 9 times out of 10 it protects the criminals. One has to wonder how far we go before we turn into a banana republic. It is very sad indeed. Just too many stories like this every day.

I don't know but I think Graeme has been there for a long time and needs to go. From what goes around though he is very powerful in the cricket world and I don't think it will happen. I still think that boucher has missed out on being captain. He would be one of my choices. Good question though.
