This is the complete bike. Going to get frame only and fit SRAM.

Right now that is the only thing stopping me from buying one!!!

I am very nearly sold on the Bulls Ali frame. I met the guy who imports them and he is a great chap. Had a long chat with him and he has time for people. I am not spending millions with him but he couldn't have done more to help. They also pretty new but stock will seem to start flowing once they are sorted. Not like Specialized who only bring in a very small range and stock seems to be an issue. I understand all their quotas etc but hell it is a nightmare.

So I used to be a 100% Specialized purchaser but things changed the other day. I went on the Epic ride in Tokai and was lucky enough to get to try a Bulls 29er. The one I rode was the 29er Aluminium frame with XT. What a bike! I am dead keen on getting one now. So here it is, 1 Get a Bulls 29er ali frame. Here by the end of the month hopefully Price +- R8K 2 Get a Bulls Carbon frame. Here by end Feb next year. Probably not going to wait that long. +-R20K 3 Get a Specialized frame S-Works. Here by next month hopefully. Price +- R28K BUT it comes with a fork and seat post. Here's the question.. WHat would you go for? I am trying to justify the R12K difference for the frame. I know I want to but any advice here would be much appreciated. Thanks

Correct, if you try and stop her she is going to take that against you. You can't really win here. Good on you for talking to her. You need to keep that part up and let her know you are not happy about her actions. Good luck with the process. It sems you have more invested in this relationship than her right now. I prefer full suspension Mtb's Myself! Those ones don't even have front suspension.

Sure the Stumpjumper is a trail bike and has more suspension. But I feel that on a proper setup on an Epic the ride position can be adjusted to suit your time on the bike. It is more of a race setup but also does me just as good on a long ride. I can't describe it more than that. It is just a personal choice. I have become a little more competitive so I suppose that may have something to do with my decision. Both are great machines but after only 4 months on the Epic I find myself riding it almost all of the time now. I only use the Stumpjumper if the Epic is in the shop.

It seems a few people are. I need to sell the whole lot as I am getting rid of all my bikes eventually. Good luck with your purchase.

I have an Epic and Stumpjumper. I like them both. I would personaly get an Epic. They are good enough for everything. Check the Specialized website for agents. Stock is a big issue for them so good luck. Just my 2c.

Why shout at the guy if he doesn't want to wear a helmet. I see it very easily.. You take out the weakest links. Same with parents who let their child run around in the car. Let them both die. Stupid parents=stupid children. Take out the weak gene pool and the world will be a better place.

You all sit there and complain about this country and do nothing. He is taking a stand in what he believes in. Why shoot him down? You all complain about cyclists getting killed and do nothing!! He is doing what he thinks will shed some light on the problems of the country. He has now got an audience with government. So what he did was pro-active. It may not change anything, it may even make it worse cause he is white but at least he is showing some interest in the problem and not just complaining.

Just got a 2 bike carrier (Thule) from Bridge. Cost R3450. It was by far the best deal I got. Bosal quoted me R4600. Give them a try if you want. I also sent you a PM. They didn't have many left at that price so good luck.

Don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat. So if you are turning fat into muslce you are not going to drop weight. Use lighter weights and more reps. Also see a dietician. That is the only way in can be truly effective. Cut out sugars not carbs. Carbs are essential for energy. Sugars are the problem. I am having the same issue right now. BUT my body fat has dropped by 6% so even though I am losing the weight I am gaining power. Not what I wanted but I love food too much.

Cycling is a simple art form. Less weight equals less to carry around. Muscles are great things but weigh more than anything else in the body!! I did the Epic for the first time this year and found a coach to be best. She evaluated everything and changed the program as needed. If you can't do that ride 6 days per week if possible and do at least 2 longer rides if you have time. Do as much climbing as you can as it strenghthens your legs more than most exercises. This is what I found to be of most benefit to me. Also most people carried around big Camelbacks but we dropped all that and took as little as possible with us. (2 bottles and a small puncture kit) If you train with that in mind it will put you in the right place for race day. Just my2c worth.

Viva La Contador. You gonna win this hands down. Maybe contador should have also helped Frank Schlek to the closest hospital?! He is easily the best rider here and easily rides the best bike.

8 months old! You still covered under warranty. Take it back to them and get it sorted. I went through 4 705's before I got the one I have now. Same issues as you are having. Once I finally got this one I have been good. They just swapped the units out for me so hopefully they should do the same for you!!
