  1. Are Hectic Promotions and De Villiers events the same? Did not realize
  2. Ya that is flippen heavy! I want a hillclimb!
  3. Too late? Perfect for the weekend warrior conditioned to starting before the sun is up... Those "pro hour" riders will be suffering from sleep deprivation!
  4. Thanks! Will follow up!
  5. I LOVE the sub 6 but good luck finding them... I am desperate to find another pair in 43 or 43.5. They really work for me, cleat setup obviously matters but I have never had issues with mine. As for lace vs BOA, I like the snug fit around my whole foot the laces give me, rather than a few lines of pressure from the BOA chords.
  6. Hmmm that reminds me... I must renew my ad!
  7. A few guys had brake issues at the Ceder, I am not sure if it was cable disc issues or not though.
  8. I suspect it is a reference to the crazy conditions... Snow, hectic peanut butter mud and river crossing combined with some treacherous descents at the best of times.
  9. The CEDER broke most bikes up, and all people, from my understanding!
  10. One of the very fast ladies I ride with had a surprise visit the other day too.
  11. I am just upset because my superx is now "outdated". I would love one of these frames though! I wonder why they run Force 1 on the CX bike and not AXS?
  12. I don’t experience the same thing. What it could be is your hr becoming less depressed from fatigue so it is more responsive and thus higher at given watts. Idk though I’m no sports scientist.
  13. Yes please… interesting that she pointed out that her bike weighs in at about 6.8kg anyway with the discs while the bigger sizes are over the weight limit. You would think that they could be much closer to the weight limit… strange times. (#savetherimbrake)
  14. Sorry I’m new to this whole cycling thing… I haven’t even had a Roubaix since I started riding.
  15. It was lighter when it had the campy on, but the Ultegra turned it from a racehorse into more of a workhorse.
  16. I have built a Canyon Ultimate with some weightweenie brakes and DA di2 as a KOM hunting machine... I just need to find the right wheels and I will have a weight but I am hoping for around 6.5 kg.
  17. The Pavé segment... Always fun to include on a loop when your mate tells you he has just cleaned his bike! (especially in winter)
  18. I have it on good authority you can run 11 speed campy shifting with a Shimano or SRAM drivetrain. https://cyclingtips.com/2017/12/mixing-road-groupsets-what-works-together-and-what-doesnt-2/
  19. Personally I would go further and say unless you are set on Campy, go for ultegra 6800. It’s lighter than ultegra 8000 rim brake. Spares are much cheaper, a set of campy cables (in my experience they make the shifting much better) is almost R1000! Find a cannondale si crank to save a few more grams and because they look hawt. Brakes and saddle are an easy spot to save weight too, but not at the expense of comfort and safety. Then some aero carbon hoops and sell your light alloy ones - Darkhorses occasionally pop up for quite a fair price on the hub.
  20. Hey Mikaeel, good luck with your build. I had a 2018 Supersix with Super record it came in at about 7.3 with 1500g wheels on, 300g power pedals but heavy stock saddle.
  21. You have just been spoilt now...
  22. Yeah... Ou Kaapse up to Silvermine is the best road option at just over 20 min, but a bit less if you are doing over 4w/kg, and the mast is gravelable but not that pleasant on the gravel bike.
  23. Almost my favorite shorter loop... Nek, Chappies, Ou Kaapse, Nek.
  24. That sounds like a miserable experience, isn't the whole point to drop your team mates? @Pure Savage
