  1. Wow this is going to be nice... Did you bring in an extra groupset?
  2. My ballies react the same way to my bikes... I think it might be the standard response from any non-cyclist ????
  3. Just spent the weekend up in McGregor and there is some awesome riding there! What an inspiring story.
  4. Can't believe they are letting the TDF go ahead after all these crashes...
  5. I sent you a dm Maybe put up a wanted in the classifieds too!
  6. Or you can swing me a message about my Slate... A bit more expensive but it is Ultegra and has the shock which is super fun!
  7. Surely value for money is the opposite of a rip off??
  8. Or the one listed for 5k above that in the Classifieds... Maybe not worth a look there.
  9. I think Titan, Avalanche, Rook, and Silverback have some more budget friendly gravel options. Often on the lower end bikes there are mechanical brakes instead of hydraulic, as well as 10 speed or less groupsets. It's nice to have easy climbing gears on the gravel bike too, so make sure to check on that.
  10. I hate it, but my heart says Julian, Alan & Phillip. I don't think I can justify it at all, but it would make me so happy (that mountain TT he came second with the roadbike on was impressive...)! My head is backing Primoz, he showed some real strength at the beginning of the year. I would love to see Tadej rip it up but I have nightmares of him getting isolated in the wind, and Ineos' 3 GC leaders along with Jumbo and some others in the front echelon absolutely punishing him... I am also on holiday for the whole tour, so I will be riding a couple of hours every morning and watching half awake every afternoon... This dream is getting me through studying at the moment.
  11. No man this is only a few hundred meters from my house Sorry to hear... Hope you are alright
  12. I thought Rohan Dennis not being there was a bit of a surprise, he has been on the training camps, but I suppose the standard is super high and he has Olympic ambitions. Also hear rumors he may be switching to Jumbo Visma https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/rohan-dennis-to-join-jumbo-visma-from-ineos-grenadiers
  13. I really enjoyed seeing/reading this Instagram post by Ryan Sandes https://www.instagram.com/p/CQRNeZRJ3w8/
  14. Unfortunately this lines up suspiciously well with his interviews pre "hiatus" where he was laying out his plans for the season and his excitement... And it doesn't seem like he was not training for long. I hope that it's not the case though.
  15. Some easy ways to save some weight could also be in saddle (as long as it's still comfy), bars, and grips. You might find a more affordable gram/rand saving there.
  16. How about that Cannondale FSI in the classifieds... I am a 'dale fanboy so I might be biased
  17. It is perfectly my size. I am so happy I can't afford it... Sooooo happy. It is really an awesome bike!
  18. There's an awesome one in the classifieds. Wish I had the money. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/hardtail-mountain-bikes/476550/specialized-s-works-epic-hard-tail-with-axs
  19. This is a serious stretch but I am looking for a broken dura ace 9150 rear derailleur. I know the motors sometimes fail so one of those would be perfect!! I have this broken one https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/rear-derailleurs/479618/dura-ace-rd-9150-part and I would love to not have to go buy another one.
  20. I can confirm, I was not around in the '80s and think this is cool. This sells me the gravel dream very effectively.
  21. I have reported many accounts pretending to be Onlyfans of some of my friends... So you can report an account for pretending to be someone else. I am going to pretend these are scammers...
  22. No, the dumbasses are the guys like me who have about 80% of their net worth invested in bicycles with no car.
  23. Personally I think disregard for human life by other road users and criminals is one of the largest barriers to entry in cycling. Paired with. As mentioned above, cycling participation is actually growing, so your base premise that cycling is being killed is also wrong.
