  1. This is so old that when that pic first came out, that frame was top of the range
  2. Bet the rider will claim that he ever saw him . Here's wishing him a full and speedy recovery.
  3. No good saying Israel from the East Rand - what was his hub nick
  4. RIP. Condolences to all her friends and family
  5. Was wondering when these stats would come up. That is impressive - especially given that there was 400 m of ascent in this short 25 km route.
  6. Are you kidding me - did that guy tow somebody the whole ride? Reminds me of the video where the guy pulled his son in a boat, rode the cycle leg with his son on his handle bars and then ran the marathon pushing his son in a pram. Super human stuff!!
  7. Bruce, I thought that MTB was supposed to be harder than road? Those stats indicate that you grafted much harder on the 94.7 than you did for the Epic. Is that because your average includes zeros?
  8. Dude, you are a sick f&%k. Go play in the traffic!
  9. RIP in Craig. To the family left behind, I can only hope that time will help heal the wounds. Please know that every single member of the cycling community is mourning with you in this sad time.
  10. That is some serious leverage. Makes my 175cm cranks look like toothpicks. No wonder I can only get an average 215 watts
  11. Speedy recovery Estelle. Thoughts and payers are with you and your family at this time.
  12. I always assumed you slapped your butt to draw the attention of the rider behind you. Personally I prefer to just shout (glass left, twit holding his waterbottle right etc.)
  13. Bob, I knew you would be first to comment but your comment disappoints. I was expecting something more risque.
  14. Waiting for the comments on the title of this one....
  15. CAREFUL - Teac does not pick up TV. You can plug it into a normal TV and use it as a DVD player.
  16. I bought that TEAC on as well. Two screens, plugs into a normal TV etc.

I had a similar problem last week except it did not seize up. Just VERY stiff for first 10 min or so on a ride. I took it to Cyclelab and they replaced the chain. It is like riding a new bike.
  18. Here's the thing - this guy goes out for a ride, falls and now he is paralysed from the neck down. Sh!t, he cannot ever move his baby finger again, let alone ride a bike. This guy will never hold his children again. I have thought alot about what happened because I dislocated my shoulder on that bridge a few weeks earlier. I am sure that this guy and his family are incredibly upset and frustrated. I agree, he does not have a case and the fact that he is sending lawyers letters to Richard is BULL! But lets not forget that he is still a cyclist like the rest of us. Only difference is we will still be able to ride again and he wont. I suggest that we show his family that the cycling community is close and we look after our own. Why dont we do something for this guy at the Hub ride on Saturday? Let him know that we sympathise with him. Shaunh, ideas??
  19. I was a "victim" of that bridge - dislocated my shoulder and was not allowed to ride for 5 weeks. Still go to physio 3 times a week. But the reality is that I chose to ride over it (it looked like fun). My response to my injury - These things happen. It was a risk that I took.
  20. Cruzer, you have left off Word and Jeremyd from your list
