  1. Yes, I also only received one blank board. No holes. What are we supposed to do with it?
  2. Very excited. I have just entered in the Tandem category with my grandson. How cool is that?
  3. If you are based in the Cape Town Southern Suburbs, the next Tread Skills Confidence Clinic is scheduled for the 23rd July at 8am at the Constantia Uitsig Bike Park. http://treadskills.co.za/bookings/
  4. Flatten one end of the plug and squeeze it through until you can grip it with a pliers and then pull it through. I am using thicker plugs and had no problem getting them threaded.
  5. I had a list of things I needed and I managed to get all of them except one.
  6. Entry done and dusted for the Adventure! 5 minutes and no hassles. Well done to the W2W organisers.
  7. I had an ankle fusion done 22 years ago and still have a screw in the ankle. I experience no pain whatsoever when cycling and do between 10 and 20 hours a week. The surgery itself was very painful and I recall that I coudn't put any pressure on my foot for six weeks. No driving my car! But I have never looked back and it's great to be able to walk, run and cycle without pain.
  8. To put things into perspectivce. We have booked a four roomed lodge for 4 cyclists and their wives for R4,720 in total for two nights. This includes access to the pool as well.
  9. This might be an option. If you can hide it inside the frame then you can track it down afterwards. Seems very affordable as well. http://www.thetileapp.com/
  10. Could save one from a long walk or retirement from a race assuming one can still continue after such a hard crash that you brake your frame.
  11. I remember going out for a ride a couple of years ago on Christmas day and everybody greeted and smiled - roadies, joggers, even motorists . Now it's a ritual. I ride every Christmas day and it's the same experience. So my assumption is that it's not the roadies, or the MTBers, or even the joggers who are unfriendly. It's the stressfull lives we live. People in general are less friendlier. I greet everyone in the hope that I will cheer up at least one person each day.
  12. I have been using Giordana for years and never had any issues. Many rides in excess of 5 hours! However, they have become somewhat pricey so I am in the process of trying Anatomic bibs.
  13. Day 3 was awesome with great single track through Harkerville Forest. I like the idea of the Enduro sections and the Tread Buffalo category. Gives more riders a chance of some glory. Don't like the idea of not having showers at the finish and having to collect your car from the start each day.
  14. I don't know Carpet but I love the Hubber spirit. I have paid forward as well.
  15. The trick to removing W2W and Sani2C profile stickers is to use a bit of soap and water - then they come off very easily.
  16. I wouldn't buy a bike that done the Epic so leave those stickers on
  17. Entries haven't opened yet!
  18. Please ignore! My bad. I was want to swap my XL grey jacket for a ladies large for my wife (if possible).
  19. To swap for mens XL or ladies XL?
