  1. Eh??? A few minutes ago on Aliexpress. $50 200.14 shipping for up to 60 day delivery?
  2. It's not complicated, federation management and support staff should do EVERYTHING it takes to optimise performance. DO YOUR JOBS! I can't imagine allowing oversights (add tardiness) and incompetence and excuses in business endeavours, I'd have lost large numbers of clients.
  3. Thank you. Whether lecturing at varsities or facilitating corporate training, for MANY years I've found that I'm simply unable to say that I love watching pro volleyball without an assuming male chirping "beach volleyball" to sniggers from half of the males in class. E-V-E-R-Y T-I-M-E. School-leaving kids are still doing this, FFS! Evolve already.
  4. How many mechs are in the federation's team? With events and training in several cycling disciplines occurring simultaneously it may be advised to have a mech present for each discipline. I know I'd do this if I was organising. If we're operating on a limited budget, a mech for each discipline is still essential in my (admittedly inexperienced) opinion.
  5. "What's that in the crosshairs?" A hairy @rse?
  6. In off-the-wall Olympic news, a two time Olympic kayaking silver medallist has been jailed for 25 years.
  7. Ah, so what was chop number 1 doing while not doing his job?
  8. Hahaha naaaisss. That kid looks just like my Fish Hoek son did before his big-ass hipster beard. I had to do a double take.
  9. BRILLIANT BIANCA!!!
  10. Unusual given that it's a remarkable name. We'd turn up at Supers and Seal Point and Vic Bay and the Wild Coast in your namesake's black '48 Fleetline auto beast like this one and surf, living in it for DAYS. Hey, it was the '80's. Pls excuse the off-topic tangent, I'll stop. GO BIANCA!
  11. As an aside, I think you're a McKec**** (not sure if one's allowed to say) and in the '80s I did quite a few surf trips with a Steven/Stephen McK. I ask 'cos the surname is most uncommon and wondering if there's a connection?
  12. I've never understood why this approach isn't routine in so many businesses. I was nothing less than surprised-thrilled how quickly our corporate training business took off with MNC clients in the mid '90's simply because we did what we said we'd do on time, EVERY TIME. It's not complicated.
  13. I was just as guilty as far as a visiting German trauma surgeon was concerned. Arriving at an EMS continuing professional development case history meeting in Cape Town we exchanged pleasantries and I asked about his accommodation and morning commute. "That's about 12km's from here, right?" I asked. "No. TWELVE POINT ONE!" he insisted.
  14. Titan's blurb is that the Cypher is a XC-marathon bike. Great starter choice though...
  15. Thank goodness you ain't trying to wear figurative shoes. :p
  16. Try Mr P Sport, my son bought me one that's still in rotation.
  17. Yeah, it's another cycling/driving experience in this less wealthy world here, TNT1. I learned to hire a car rather than use my beautiful old cars when visiting the ex in-laws in Transkei.
  18. And who decreed that those driving banged-up skorokoros have to be the worst drivers around cyclists? *Edit: At least 'round these parts.
  19. Luck o' the draw I guess. Never had a problem with SAPO, even with watch straps and watches. DHL disappointed once with three sizeable boxes of work equipment from the same supplier ending up in three different cities.
  20. Sheesh! Epic race, a cool down ride is indicated.
  21. When they added duties, I collected at SAPO, happened twice. When no duties were added, once collected at a Pep Store counter and once home delivery by courier. I used Paypal for safety. Each time the parcel arrived within 30 days or less.
